For a show that a lot of people on here bash it sure has a lot of people going in to see it. We went to 2 shows Sat and both were full. Myself, I love the puppets; they are so cute. Matter of fact there is no part of the show I don't like. Long live London Rocks.

Just because a lot of people go to it doesn't mean it's good. I say it again, with the money put into advertising for this show, the theatre should be full. I'm sure a lot of people do like it, and I'm also sure a lot of people don't.

Who noticed that it's been arranged that the only show you can watch the last weekend of the season is LR?

By 'last week' do you mean Labor Day weekend or Pass member Appreciation weekend?

I don't think using the "full theater" factor is totally accurate considering Saturdays in August are terribly crowded, naturally meaning the theaters will fill up. When I last visited on a weekend, every show venue was packed. Not just the Globe, but the Abbeystone, Il Teatro di San Marco, and even the Festhaus for Entwined. There is certainly a lot of applause but if others in the theater are anything like me, they are clapping for the phenomenal cast, not the show itself. That's the thing, in my opinion the only true shining point of the show is the cast.

And I don't think the puppets are cute at all. The Singing Mushrooms puppets are cute. These things are one step away from being worthy of their own R.L. Stein Goosebumps story.

Another major factor is the heat, a lot of people see shows just to get out of the heat.

So I guess I'll be that one guy.

I like this show! I don't like how it's spilled out all over Banbury Cross, but I like the production. I don't know if this show is bad by BGW standards or what, but it's one of the better theme park shows I've seen. Not as good as Celtic Fyre or Night Beats, but definitely much better than Entwined or KD40: On Stage.

This is a theme park show, not Broadway. There is only so much you can do in a 25-30 minute time span. This show has a lot to offer for such a small amount of allowed time. Long live London Rocks.

P.S. So far I have not talked to anyone face to face who hates the show, only the ones on here who bash it.

Sorry, a word was omitted. I meant the last weekEND. My bad. Does ANY show go past Labor Day weekend? Someone could fact check me on dates, but I think everything stops throughout the last week leaving only LR for the weekend.

Who knew he was actually an evil genius all this time and had a way planned to make his show the most popular and attend by default?

EDIT!! I checked and the BGW website says TIO is also still showing that weekend. HOW simply appropriate is that karma!?!?!? TIO and LR head to head and the the death. Everyone should make it a point to only go see TIO that weekend and leave the Globe empty.

London Rocks ends Aug. 31, This is Oktoberfest ends before that. The only two shows that will continue beyond that will be More ... Pets Shenanigans, and The Secret Life of Predators.

EDIT: That must have been a last minute change or a mistake for This Is Oktoberfest.

25-30 minutes is a long amount of time to give a story life. So, sorry I'm calling BS on that. You can do amazing things in that amount of time. It's plenty of time to explain to the audience what is happening and what the reason for everything is.

The issue is, there is almost too much happening at once with very little explanation, considering it's run time. Along with, Scott trying to say that this is a Broadway quality show in a theme park. It's all about knowing how much time you have and planning accordingly to fit that time.

If you like the show, that's fine. Whatever floats your boat. But, please don't say that 25 minutes isn't a long enough time to tell a good story. I've told good stories in 2-3 minutes.

I just think the show is in terrible hands as far as the current director. Also the producer, Jason Kantrowitz also sometimes has very weird taste. I enjoy most of the show. The rest (the part that I don't like) is everything that makes me think "Was that necessary?". Some of that was there to begin with. But now that all the "NYC/London talent" that they hired to produce the show are basically finished with their work, the rest is left to the wolves. I hope to see the show return next year, with improvements. However, it needs to be foolproof enough to where they can't ruin a good thing.


Whenever I watch a show, I try to enjoy it. I guess you could say that I automatically go into #funchallenge mode. However, no matter what the show is, I am constantly observing every detail the way that a director would. After I have seen the show, I let it settle in for a while before I start reviewing any criticisms that I might have. I'm not saying that I personally would be a better director, but sometimes I wonder what little things the other people are missing.

I could go on and on about my love/hate relationship for the show. However, due to certain circumstances it seems that the latter view is more popular here. I understand that very well too. I don't think that people come to these forums just to badmouth the park that they love. In many ways, I think this show (initially, at least) filled the gap that has been felt over the past few years due to the lack of good musical reviews. This show was a very big project for the park by far, and I hope that they learn from this, and improve upon this new technology in the future.
I will probably see the show a few more times this year, but I am just as excited to say "Bring on Monster Stomp!"

Edit: On a positive note, the sound quality is back! It sounds amazing.
