RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

James, I am glad that you had the guts to say almost my exact feelings of the show, as well as the decorations! I am definitely what you would call a "purist" when it comes to Busch Gardens Williamsburg's quality, but he had the nail on the head. This show is a really big deal. I would only change three things. 1) The ticket system 2) try to find a work around with the puppets. The storyline has already improved vastly since Friday. 3) Get rid of most (if not all) of the stereotypes of the queen of England. This really reminds me of Wunderbarn. It's just poor taste for a show of this caliber. I realize that in a way it is reminiscent of Monty Python, but the jokes are way too one track, and not only is it somewhat offensive, but it gets old very quickly.

I'm curious about how the park uses the term "sell out." Does that mean they ran out of tickets or does that mean the theater was full?

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I was actually expecting more shows to be sold out, considering every pass member was sent an invitation.

Honestly, as a pass member I am uninterested in seeing a dress rehearsal for a free show. I would imagine I am not alone in this perspective.

Each of the lines denotes a scene change of some sort mostly.

Also, Griffon, I truly think it is a really good show. However, Celtic Fyre has a fairly strong story and generally in a theater where watching the show is all you are doing a strong story is almost required. Shows in the San Marco theater and Das Festhaus are not supposed to have a story because guests should be too busy eating to keep up with a story. That said, I really do think it is an amazing show.

PR this is a great list, however I want to add to it and offer a couple of corrections.

Additions:
The Yardbyrds "For Your Love" appeared around 1 or 2.
Cream "Sunshine of Your love". I believe was somewhere in the second grouping.
"Gimme Some Lovin' was actually the Spencer Davis Group, which contained Steve Winwood.
It was Space Oddity by David Bowie, not Space Odyssey by the Bealtes.
I also picked up guitar riffs from The Who "My Generation".

We caught today's 3pm showing. Overall I liked the show, I found it fun, energetic, colourful, and a very attractive cast (does that sound too creepy?). What I found to be out of place were the following songs: "What I Like About You", "Let's Dance" and "Under Pressure" all were released in the 80's while the rest were 60's and 70's.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Those songs actually aren't out of place, the show follows Lucy throughout her life which includes the beginning of the British invasion all the way to present day. the part where Lucy and here husband are having marital issues is the part where they're in the 80's, so those songs do fit, somewhat.

The list of songs - there is one I see you missed. It is Space Oddity by David Bowie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcyuKUtgyZ8

Just before you enter the Globe Theatre, there is a photo-op with some of the cast. Like other things, you get a card to pick up your picture at Adventure Photos. :)

So when are you supposed to buy your tickets?

Tickets to the show are free, you can get them at any time for the show time of your choosing so long as the show time is not 'sold out' the day of the show.

Thanks everyone for the corrections, Celticdog especially. It is really challenging getting all the music considering I am not that familiar with the specific songs. Plus they mash up the songs so well it is hard for me to tell what parts are a different song.

You just can't take that voiceover guy seriously with those bright neon colors on the Globe, which he speaks of in such a sophisticated manner.

Ok I went to see it twice today and I sort of got the story a little bit more. The graphics I tried looking at them better and listening to what was being said and I think I got it. I think heard something about they get married and had triplets but I could be wrong because they sure didn't look like triplets on stage lol Were the puppets suppose to be their kids as children? I also spoke to Scott today (he was at the 6PM Celtic Fyre show) he remembers me by my first name I feel so special :D I told him I liked the show but I also told him some of the songs sort of went over my head because of when I was born. Overall it's a good show and love the visuals!

Ok.I decided to see the show with an open mind, despite the paint job.

I walked in and saw the stage and went, that's...interesting.it wasn't oh my God amazing, nor was it bad. The animation reminded of a toned down more realistic Monty python animation.the show started and I was waiting for the main set.however, I was caught by the animation again. The visuals for the show are very unique feeling, at least in a theme park, which I found cool.thel performers came out and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The singing is good, the music great, the dancing... anyways it was the projections that sold it for me.
That being said.when they had the "kids" singing I went...wtf? It crossed that line and I saw a big bit of gasparich but the scene was only so long.even then I knew they were catering to the younger kids.
All together, it was a great show.not the best but definitely not the worst!

Now if only they didn't have to ruin the globe to do it

I was interested in some of the aspects of the show, lighting be one of them. I just saw Ken Billington's portfolio or at least the company he primarily heads, K.B. Associates. Turns out the lighting for London Rocks was not his first project at the park. He has actually been doing lighting for SWPE since 1994. Some of his BGW shows include, Irish Thunder, Emerald Beat, Kinetix, Gloria!, Entwined!, and all of Illuminights. All of which had/have amazing lighting.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to notice the nosedive effect. It's a decent show until you get to the puppets, then it goes full crazy-go-nuts with them.

This show is literally a big version of Killarney Kommotion. It feels like it can suddenly switch for no reason and it's jaring.
