RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I would love to see the Globe rebuilt into a traditional proscenium arch theater.  It has fly space and ample room for AP electrics, especially if they pull down those inane fans.  Follow Spot mounted on the center line just down of the apron would be fantastic too!  Finally I am definitely on Team "Afternoon Tea in Banbury."

Geesh. That's two posts with the same typo. Bad fingers. Bad.

Autocorrect is your enemy.  Or am I the only one with that problem?

So, with Elmo taking over the Glove until May 1, is London Rocks using the time to make major changes?
I hope the 'major changes' include dropping the London, followed by dropping the Rocks, then incorporating the 'play' aspects of Scrooge no More into an aptly named 'Afternoon tea in Banbury'. My thinking here is simple, they tried the exciting name with a boring result. Maybe my completely boring name will give life to an exciting show!

"Afternoon tea in Banbury" sounds kinda fantastic to me, actually.  But really more in the form of an actual tea shop with actual tea and scones and stuff.
This would be a fabulous way to market their new show! A legit tea shop selling on the spot, or take home brewing supplies, coupled with show merch. It's a lovely thought, but they will never give up their money sucking LR show for something quirky and cute to people of all ages.

In truth the production completely skipped over the new age of British Metal and considering that era spawned bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Motorhead to metalheads like me is a complete insult. In addition when I first saw the show I was expecting some Billy Idol and Led Zeppelin got none of it

London Rocks clearly is specifically based on 60s British Invasion music. There are several British genres that aren't included in tbe show. Using the entire scope of music from the Isles would give the show no coheshion at all, and wouldn't make much sense in the storyline.

Okay I'll give you that but I'd would have love to seen white wedding playing during the marriage scene

That's still my favorite scene in the show. The side walls really enhance it.

We have heard it has been altered again. Time will tell.

Good grief! How many changes can this show take??

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

As long as they're changes made to improve the show, I could care less how many changes they go through. The show wasn't really that good from the start. Considering last year was a low point for the show, hopefully these new changes help make the show much better.

Has anyone heard about an opening date/show times? London Rocks was originally scheduled to start on May 1, but I have also heard Memorial Day as a date.

Im kinda of worried its not coming back, theres absolutely no mention of it on their website. Though they are still selling LR merchandise. I would say though that it would come back two weeks after elmo rocks ends, so they have some time for set up and some rehearsals.
