RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Well thats the only place it fits, with what myself and others have heard. It won't go to Union Snacks, and the only other stand is to be converted into a ticket booth of sorts. I can only imagine the snack stand inside the Globe Theater will get something like this or this exactly.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Well, I suppose the "BREAKFAST BURRITO CART" will sell something other than breakfast items after a certain time; snacks perhaps? Maybe in place of the old snack stand by Adventure Photos (or is that definitely gonna be the LR ticket booth)? ;)

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

CK, everything I have heard lines up with the old snack stand being transformed into a ticket booth. I'm not the only one who heard that though, I was talking with Zach about it.

Also, there is/was an old Dippin Dots cart behind the Globe Theater. I assume that will be set up in the village as your breakfast cart.

The things is, Union Snacks was built to replace the snack stand next to Adventure Photo and thus the snack stand can be converted into a ticket booth.

So my guess would be that maybe the sign is for the new breakfast cart or for the Globe Theater stand.

A back story, no matter how shallow, helps so much. How cool would it have been if they dressed part the lobby of the theater like a 16 year old's room in the '60s. Have letters on her desk, vintage posters, and some clues to who she is. The blog post makes me hope for more when the show officially opens.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

That is actually a great idea! It is a bit similar to the effect achieved by Verbolten's queue (minus the dirty suitcases, plants, etc. ;-P)

Hey looks like PR was right about her name being Lucy.

In London Rocks, the audience follows the journey of Lucy and the impact that rock ‘n' roll music has on her life.

gobsmacked
being totally speechless.unable to think of anything to say.
I was gobsmacked when I won the lotto.
*Alternate definitions from places like the Urban Dictionary...wow! ;)

By the way, has "A 70' UNION JACK FLAG" materialized somewhere and I missed it? Maybe Friday the 23rd we shall see it flying on the Globe or something. Well, these things are definitely part of the British Invasion (fashion and whatnot). ;)

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

CK, it is the original curtain at the front of the stage for the projections. It is a ginormous Union Jack covered in peace signs. It was not doing well showing the projections. So, they had to hang another big backdrop that would show the projections better. The Union Jack backdrop was specially made and rigged. Another huge expense tossed out the window.

You can see this in Zachary's video. The new scrim is pointed with the original one being rounded behind that one. It has peace signs all over it. Also, about 4:07 in Zachary's video is a close up where you can see them. At 4:20 watch for when these two "curtains" rise and you can see it.

I'll edit this for photos in a bit.

EDIT: A still from "Meet the Show Director and Projection Designer of London Rocks™" posted earlier.

As a parent with a young child I am bothered by the amount of making out the two lead characters do in this show. Twice they have a full-on make out session which is more inappropriate in a theme park with children than some of the sexual innuendo and flashing in Fiends.

It's still being utilized for reveals...but yes a shame

Is it just me, or is inappropriateness becoming a thing with the park's shows lately?
Seems like at least half the new shows have something making it inappropriate.

It's probably not just you. It's also probably not a coincidence that the person in charge of making all the shows wants to replace everything pre-20th century in the park with something that "rocks."

There's an ethic involved in rock and roll -- not that I'm opposed to rock and roll -- and a value system that goes with it, which while not the Devil (I'm not being that guy) doesn't always necessarily coincide with what is "family friendly."

In other words, the guy who thinks old Busch Gardens was not edgy or loud enough probably has a morality line that is slightly off from where many parents of small childrens' is. If they would rate a movie PG-13, he might come along and rate the same thing PG.
