My family went to BGW when it first opened in 1975. I was 5 years old. I don't remember a whole lot about the trip but I do remember riding Le Scoot. We all rode it once during the day and as it was getting closer to closing I wanted to ride again. My mom and sister didn't want to get wet so it was just my dad and me. We waited in line and finally got on. We started up the lift and were almost to the top when suddenly the lift stopped. I was pretty scared and after what seemed like a long time to my 5 year old self (it was probably only 5-10 minutes) someone came to help us walk down. I remember being scared walking down because of the height and it was starting to get dark. The next time we went to BGW I rode Le Scoot even though I was nervous that it would break down again. I've continued to ride it every time I've visited and I do remember the first little drop and small climb that was later removed. It's a shame it was removed. It made a good ride even better.
