I may be in the minority on this, but this year I actually really liked the park's food. I certainly didn't like the prices that came with it, though. Since eating at the park is an integral part of a visit for me, this will really better my experience.

I liked the Bistro, and the front pizza was decent. Boardwalk fries rarely disappoint but beyond that...

The grilled chicken is amazing, as is the view overlooking the water.

Has the park started pushing 2015 season passes yet? I checked the prices for the plat passes (I plan to visit a few CF parks next year) and the price looks pretty steep for passes that are only good for another two months.

Looking for a good deal on those or a quick Easy Pay option.

I ate some Chicken Fingers there last year, and I felt like I was eating plastic.
The chicken fingers are the same junk you get everywhere else in the park. If you eat at Country Kitchen, you have to get the grilled chicken as Joe stated, or the ribs, BBQ, with potatoes and gravy, green beans, and all that other stuff that is only in that restaurant.

Sorry Evan. Does the platinum pass NOT increase in price throughout the year like the rest of the passes? It seems like the price is already at its cap.

The price right now is actually about where it is normally. Last year, at this time, the price was $180. This year it is at $185.50. Be sure you're looking at the regular platinum pass and not the platinum pass with dining. Speaking of which, it should be known that the platinum pass with dining includes dining at all Cedar Fair parks and not just Kings Dominion. See each park for details on participating locations.

An entree and side is about $10 before tax. Two times a day. $20 in food each day divided by the $80 difference in price between the dining pass and regular pass. 4 days of eating two meals a day will break even.

For me it probably comes closer to $15 per meal. SO that is $30 per day so closer to 3 days. Do remember it does not work everywhere, including Bistro 75.
I'm okay with the later, I suspect if people could use it there, they would not tip their servers.

The dining plan only includes 1 entree and 1 side per each meal. So that is what you're limited to if you use the pass next season to purchase your meals at the park.

Do they send these out in the mail or do you have to pick them up at the park?

If you buy the season pass online, you will print a voucher. You will then take it to the season pass processing center. You will fill out a few things (name, address, email, ect.), they will take your photo and hand you the pass.

If you buy it at the ticket booths, they will give you a receipt and you will do the same thing as above. Paperwork, picture, pass.
