Maybe they'll replace the structures with big medieval style tents. Hastings making a comeback.

In all seriousness, I'm sure the landscaping department got chewed out pretty good after losing the most beautiful park award. They've been all over the park making changes to some of the greenery and cleaning up the place a bit.

Some work has been done on the old trellis in Killarney.

$#!+ rolls downhill... but Landscaping didn't decide to cut away half of one of the park's most scenic vistas to install Finnegan's Flyer, nor to voluntell the park to scrape all living things off the pipeline easement, nor to immolate all non-metal components of the Verbolten bridge, nor to slice away what little natural screening Apollo had from the parking lot so a Sky Rocket II could be dropped in the shadow of its lift. I also wonder what Landscaping's budget trend has been, relative to the number of operating days and multi-week events, over the past 5-7 years. If it's negative, I doubt Landscaping did that to itself.

I hope everyone that read that knows I wasn't being serious though SEAS has set a precedent.

If anything, hopefully they give this place a little loving and it becomes a primary food option instead of randomly open.

I can think of few worse places in the park than Killarney for a third party dining offering.
Very much agreed. Although I really liked this spot for it's natural shade and coolness on a hot day. Other outdoor venues don't offer the same, and indoor venues aren't quite as cool as they should be (and are often really loud).

In the "for what it's worth department" on Friday I overheard two employees talking and they said that this work had to be done as it was discovered that the wood was rotting away. So with any luck it will be rebuilt.

Them tearing this trellis down makes me realize how much better Finnegans Flyer would have looked on that side of the rooks than where it is.

If they want to reclaim their “World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park” status, I would hope they would rebuild😕
