That's what I'm putting together from the sounds. I have mixed feelings about that though. Kids, I'm sure would love to see a daily show/demonstration of skateboarding, maybe BMX. Bring in national/international talent, have competitions, do X-Games kind of events, music and skateboarding events. Could draw in a larger regional event base, and bring more locals in more often(the younger crowd). The economy shows that they always spend money, buy shirts, hats, etc. more snacks, fountain drinks and the like.
Older patrons might not care for the noise and Generation X vibe.
Hard to say.

Every time I go to the park, especially on Saturdays or during Howl-o-scream, I always say to myself: "I wonder if the park could put in an attraction that would draw in more obnoxious punk teenagers?" My prayers may be answered

Chris, there was an obvious jump in the clip. Animals on skateboards don't jump. And they probably tagged it that way out of habit. They only put up vids of animals usually.
I really am not happy if this is their idea of making the park better.

I feel ya there! Only thing I can say is that BG has always been good on crowd control and security. Maybe it's Sesame Street on Skateboards?? That should be tame enough!

Maybe it will be just for the spring, before the concert series? Only a few weekends? Hopefully, it'll be a Saturday-only thing. We never go on Saturdays anyway

Is this just for Water Country ? That's what it says on the action sports website. There's still hope for a train station in Festhaus Park, I think.

It seems weird that they would set up equipment in 2 parks for a 2 day event. I can still dream that they'll put the whole thing in water country (after all, it fits the theme better) and add something else to Festhaus Park. But it doesn't seem likely.

I think they just listed it along with Busch Gardens, as if it's a double park resort like Universal and IOA. It doesn't say Busch Gardens & Water Country, it says Busch Gardens - Water Country. It'll be a two day event in Festhaus Park, with the first day probably amateur and qualifiers and the second day being the finals.

So I get off of the computer for half a day, and this happens. I'm never leaving my computer again!
Anyway, time to UPDATE THE FIRST POST. About the show, this goes back to the whole "Busch picks acts that draw a particular crowd"... Only this time, I think that they picked wrong.

I think they're looking to get as many people into the park as possible. They might feel like they have to try some new types of events this season because, not only was BBW removed, but KD has a new poo poo roller coaster that is just gimmicky enough to draw people there. Busch has to try to get some attention and I guess having the Air Force Reserve as the sponsor is family friendly enough for them to go for this type of event.
It is a big departure from what the park has done in the past, but I can't blame the park for trying it out. It'll be interesting to see how it works out.
