Well this is a doozy.

I've been told there was a height survey at BGW this morning. Judging by the photo I've seen, the balloon can't have possibly originated from the Festa Field area where the Project Madrid balloon test took place back in 2017. This balloon appears to have been flown from a point on the other side of the Rhine—seemingly somewhere in the vicinity of Festhaus Park.

As for height, it's incredibly hard to estimate. That said, the photo I have shows the balloon notably higher on the skyline than the top of Mach Tower.
Here’s the official picture of the balloon test.

I have not seen a height waiver request filed with the county yet...information is lacking.

Now that Madrid seems certain to not invovle a new hamlet, Festhaus Park & this thread may be best place to speculate...

Look, with BG putting in possibly their most expensive coaster ever, I doubt they'll be receiving another within 2 years of it. Nevertheless, I would love to see something done with the area back there. I thought when they got rid of Bitten, that was the sign they were ready to build there again. Whatever it may be, it better be good. That is prime land for a park gridlocked by water.

SeaWorld is heavily investing in their parks now so it wouldn’t shock me for a new hamlet/coaster to come sooner.

With the land I’m intrigued by a modern intense woodie or some sort of B&M.

I'd personally rather B&M to make what DF was supposed to be than a ground up RMC any day.

In five years nobody will be talking any more about RMC than they will about Vekoma, they are just all the rage right now because they innovated in a very obvious way.

I'm curious who will take that crown next...

Or RMC can make a raptor version of DF. It already has the cutback.

And I disagree about them. The T-Rex is impending and we all know how whippy their single rail models are.

I would love for BGW to get a B&M winged coaster and do it justice and throw hints to Drachen Fire. Hopefully, with whatever the FB height survey was or is for we will find out. I know there are a lot of you that dig in and find out stuff, and one of the reasons I love checking out this forum and posting when I can, especially to @Zachary and others who go above and beyond for us. So, with that looking forward to seeing where this Height survey and what it was taken for.

Hmmm...something tall.

Maybe something to replace/complement the breakdown prone Mach Tower. Since we're probably working with Intamin across the river...why not something else from them on this side of the Rhine....

An updated version of Falcon's Fury.

Maybe turn Mach into an observation tower.

If you think falcons fury is any more reliable than Mach tower, I have some news for you...

2/3 times I go to bgt(monthly) it is suffering some kind of downtime. Sometimes it’s down for a few minutes, other times they can’t get it to go all day.

This!

On my last 4 visits to BGT Falcon’s Fury was down all day.

Not sure what I think it would be--but assuming it's something very tall, hence the survey, I'm inclined to think it is more likely to relate to something like the above than a coaster. Not to say a theoretical hamlet wouldn't include a coaster, I'm just thinking the tall thing would be some flying/swinging thing.

As for a coaster, B&M flyer or wing would be perfect.
