This is very scary. You put a lot of faith in those restraints and I just assumed the computer system has saftey sensors that wouldn’t let a train go if it detected the harness wasn’t locked. I guess at some point all metal suffers from fatigue.

Do you really thing the Apollos Chariot closure has anything to do with this?

That ride ain’t ever gonna see the light of the day. John Riley ain’t ever gonna see his office again. And seatbelts don’t do shit. They’re simply there for insurance, and they would not have saved his life.
Seatbelts hold people in cars when they roll over. I think it might have made a difference.

I'm at a loss. This shouldn't even be a possibility. B&M Hypers have probably served something like 100 million riders collectively over the years and there's never been an issue. Negligence at the park be it with maintenance or ride operation is probably the culprit but I just can't believe this is happening.

My heart breaks for that poor child being there when this happened to his father 💔

How is it not relevant? We’re discussing the incident in this thread, and that on-ride photo is arguably one of the most significant, albeit disturbing, pieces of information we have about what happened.

Nobody should be expected to be comfortable looking at it. It’s a horrible image (that’s why it’s hidden), and it’s terrible that the incident happened at all. But that doesn’t make the photo irrelevant to the discussion.

People are free to find it disturbing or disagree with me posting it, and I can understand that. However, the photo provides visual evidence of what happened and is absolutely relevant to a discussion about this incident. We can debate whether it should have been posted, but we can’t pretend it has no relevance to the conversation.

Anyone who wanted to find it could find it. I’m not exactly sure what this servers TOS are but for sure someone posting that shit on discord can get entire servers taken down.

Your spoiler did not work on my phone and it is gore porn. There is no intrinsic value in posting it.

At the very least the forum has spoken and told you they don’t want to see it. How about having some respect for your fellow members?

But your donor status gives you plot armor …

The photo is irrelevant because it provides zero new pertinent information to the account of what had happened and only serves as shock factor. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

If the drop tower in orlando closed which was completly modified to fail... why would this be any different regardless how it happened? The terror for the GP is still there and planted in everyones head on what if.
