For those who don't know, Clocktoberfest was really scaffolding that was covered with a 'wall' so to speak. I assume the show in Ireland will be set-up similarly.

^ From what I understand, no. With that said, everything for IllumiNights this year should still be considered in flux- plans seem to be changing constantly. Everyone I've talked to has described the theming for this show (still unnamed from what I understand) as straight-up scaffolding.

^No, Pandora you're post shouldn't be a joke.

Do you think this could become a Stomp! show? May be a bit too modern, but I'm not completely opposed to the idea. Besides, you could bring Celtic Fyre performers in because usually the showtimes end around IllumiNights.

Hmmmm

Actually when I heard scaffolding I thought it would make sense to have some sort of stomp or riverdance on the scaffolding. But it makes sense so I figured they're going to have puppets pop out of a rainbow or something.

I wish. As has become fairly standard for IllumiNights, the truth is always more bizarre than anyone could ever imagine.

As predicted, the park has filed for permit number A-130805 which calls for for scaffolding in front of the Abbey Stone Theatre for use during IllumiNights.

Do you have a link to the permit?

Permits are pretty tricky to link to with the way JCC permit site is setup. If you go to their site, and search for busch gardens under owner or what not, you will all their permits come up and you can select the one with a title the best fits. It's easier than you would think.

Also thought this might be an interesting tidbit, the Giardino Magico stage used in Italy for Illuminights has taken up recent residence behind The Globe Theater, hmm, interesting.

Also the lights for the trees are up in Italy.

Please please Zach tell me this isn't so! Tell me something, ANYTHING! will cover the horrid ugly urban city looking scaffolding! I sure hope that this set turns out much like the Greece and Spain booths, horrid the in beginning, amazing in the end. Might try to go back and get pics, it really is a sad sore on the eyes.

But they should and that is what matters, unless they pull off an amazing show. Which I'm not sure how that will work, but we shall see.

Am I the only one like extremely interested and excited for what this may become.
Don't knock it til you try it people.

And let me just throw this out there. 99% sure I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but several of you say that Busch must and should go full year. Renovations and stage set-ups like this are not done overnight in a year-round park.

Just chill. Jeez.
