Also in reply to the FB comment I posted, I do have to agree that the creatures and the decorations are lacking a flare. Honestly, this event is suposed to be about lighting up the night! Why not go all out and decorate the countries you have shows in with all out lights everywhere, like Christmas Town but in a summer kind've way. Summer is one of the greatest times of the year. Everyone is just chillin', why can't they display that in light? I will say I do like the expansion of the glow products ONLY because it represents what the event is all about, lighting up the night. Now yes they could do much better with the presentation of the glow stands, the products themselves, etc. But at least they have this fundamental concept in mind.

But it's really about the composition skills, obsessiveness and patience of the photographer. Lighting is everything! And you MUST have a good tripod.

Had to bail on ya'll for the Friday meetup. 2 year old got sick. But everything looks good for Sunday (even if it will feel like the park is on the surface of the Sun)...

Gonna try to post my thoughts on it tomorrow as well. Definitely want to see Kommotion, and honestly, I won't really be watching the show, but people's reactions, because we may hate it, but if the GP enjoys it, it becomes a hit.

At the park today. My son (8), upon exiting the skyride in France, "WHAT?! A giant snail!? ... (Puzzles a minute) Oh, I get it, escargot! See the chef's hat?"
Last night, at around 9:15, they announced the rides were shutting down due to inclement weather. We made our way to the floating bridge to watch the fireworks, that still went on, although there was "inclement weather". After the fireworks we decided to get on Nessie, and we waited about 2 minutes for the "inclement weather" to pass before we rode. We saw the "inclement weather" from a distance but it never reached the park. Just thought that was interesting. It was also cool going up Nessie's lift hill and seeing lightning in the distance!

I have a challenge for everybody:
There is a song that is played in Oktoberfest after 5:00, but before the fireworks, that I cannot for the life of me find anywhere. It's the one where a female singer (at least it sounds feminine) basically just says, "Ooooh." I will not have the opportunity to visit the park again until after IllumiNights ends, and I didn't think to even try to Shazam it. It's been driving me insane. Thanks everyone!
