Pz, that is going to turn this thread straight to religion. Not what this thread needs.

RE: IllumiNights 2012 Rumors

I apologize if that's what came accross, I apologize. I will clarify.

I feel that this is a trend caused by the backlash of HoS last year. This is a socially conservative area and I feel that all these new shows are a result of not wanting to ruffle any feathers.

RE: IllumiNights 2012 Rumors

Seriously more black forest crap? It's so annoying hearing black forest everywhere. Verbolten, Curse of DarKastle, Entwined, and now this all have to do with the black forest.
Also more farm animals? This show better have a new score and not a remix of the cuckoo clock.

Curse of DarKastle isn't really Black Forest themed. It's just a haunted German castle.

I really don't see the issue, the cuckoo clock show was pretty bad. Besides, the park is just giving people what they want.

If everything the park tries to do is so awful they could do what most other parks do during mid summer ops...nothing. At least they are trying to add some fun events during the summer before howl I scream

^ You have to remember something: IllumiNights is BGW's replacement for a big evening show. It isn't just something extra. It came at a cost.

Ode to the days of Imaginique.

Me and my family get to see them several times each summer. It is a perfect way to end the evening at Busch Gardens for us.

RE: IllumiNights 2012 Rumors

Busch Gardens posted more info about the new show "Wunderbarn" on their website.
Here's what it says:
"Wunderbarn™ is a wacky rendition of German farm life. Lead by our eccentric farmers, Henrik and Helga, guests will be swept up in this community’s attempt to bring forth a happy harvest. Recreate with us those time-honored Busch Gardens traditions as this zany show builds to an epic Chicken Dance finale, led by our cast of larger-than-life chicken puppets. It’s sure to be fun for the whole family."
Personally, to me it sounds like this show will be a disaster, especially with the way things have already been going recently. I thought the cuckoo clock was cheesy enough, but this just takes the biscuit as the cheesiest-sounding show yet. I hope it at least has an original soundtrack and not just a remix of the cuckoo clock show with the chicken dance added on top of it.

New IllumiNights update is live on the main site. There's a few extra things thrown in there as well. Enjoy! Link: http://bgwfans.com/illuminights-2012-update-and-more-june-11th/

RE: IllumiNights 2012 Rumors

Everyone has been asking for the chicken dance, and the park is giving it to them! See what y'all did?

Poll:

[ ] I will bring my own chicken suit to the German chicken dance festivities.

[ ] I'd rather be plunged from Griffon into a huge barrel of sauerkraut.

BG is pushing Illuminights pretty heavily. You can hear the Illuminights music in the background on the Verbolten webkam.

For what ever reason the Italy bridge has become the advertising point for events. It always gets decorated fairly early and they change the music early. They did it for HOS and Illuminights last year.

Ever since the Oktoberfest renovation to be exact. The year Mach Tower opened, it was decorated at the beginning of this year and last year for Oktoberfest, then Illuminights, then Howl-o-Scream.

I personally think it is a smart idea. That is one of the main bridges and points in the entire park where most guests go and if you give them a little taste of what is to come, they may just come back. Its much better than seeing a billboard or flyer.

It changes to Illuminights mid June then to Howl-o-Scream the very next day Illuminights ends.
