I could of sworn that picture of the car wasn't there when I posted that... Anyway, I'd give so much money to get to drive one of those things again. That is one lucky guy...

There is a total of one car in the parade.

The parade itself isn't the greatest parade I've ever seen, but I didn't really expect much out of it. It uses the area well and will be great for families. WARNING: Because of the narrow streets, it can be a little hard to get around the parade.

The short show in Ireland is, again, not the best I've seen come out of BGW, but it is still good. They also put some guest interaction into it which will be good for the little ones (or the adults who are looking to make a laughing stock out of their fathers ;) - this is why you all should come to the meetups, we have fun at these things.)

I'm almost positive that they used the same fireworks show for Illuminights as they did for the 4th last year. For a nightly fireworks show, it is really good. I wonder what Kingsmill thinks about it...

NOTE: I haven't seen the show in Germany or Italy yet. Should be within the next few days.

PS: Nora has pictures. I didn't bring my camera, sorry.

Went last night to see it, it was pretty good- minus it being 120 out there!
But, I did manage to stay all the way.
I came at 7, and saw the 8 'o clock Ireland show.
That was pretty good, the puppets were cute, and I loved the big witch. But they need to work on the sounds, I couldn't hear anything that the woman voice on the speaker was saying.
Then I went to the 9 'o clock Cuckoo clock show- that was REALLY good, I just wish it could've been longer, but great show.
I hope to see the Italy and France show next time.
The fireworks were great, I loved them- sat on the bridge in Festa Italia and watched the whole thing with a great view.
All in all, it was good, I think things will be better next week or so, when they hopefully perfect the sounds a bit.
I'll post pics soon!

A couple posts mention the shows for Illuminights being rather short. How long were the Ireland show and the Cuckoo Clock show?

I'd say the Ireland show, "Legend" was about 10 minutes or so and the cuckoo clock show was a little shorter than that.

I actually timed them all. Italy and Germany were 4 mins, France 6 mins, and Ireland 8 mins.

We enjoyed them all. I'd say Germany and France were the best. Ireland was the only one we saw after dark. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of them at 9:00 to see the what the lighting is like on the others.

BTW, sorry we missed the meetup. We got to the park right before 6, saw the show in Italy, rode Apollo 5 times, saw the 7:00 show in Germany, then got poured on. So we ducked into Darkastle about 7:05 to miss the rain (which we did), and got to the meet up spot about 10 mins late and didn't see anyone. :(

We figured everyone had taken off when the sky turned dark. I was beat and went home right after and apparently I missed a good time. Oh well, there will be other chances.

We had a great meet-up last night (it was really helped by the fact that Behind the Thrills was there with us).

Yeah, when we saw how short the shows appeared to be, I figured we could hit the cuckoo clock and jet over to the meetup by 7:05. Literally as we turned to walk in that direction, the sky just opened up. We ran to Darkastle to get cover, got right on the ride and when we came out the rain was over. Probably just barely missed everyone.

(We'll be back tomorrow night...anyone else? :) )

Here are a few things I noticed about the shows:

-The Le Mans car for the parade has been fitted with an electric motor and given a simple horn device.
-The Parade is good but dont look for something good to divert yourself to. If you're in the area, it's worth a shot.
-The show in Italy was lack luster to me, but perhaps others will feel different.
-The was a magician in Ireland. He was young, and messed up a trick or two, but I can tell He'll get better with time.

I'll continue to give the Info I get as I see more. The one thing that this does is give us passholders something to do other than the rides.

Tonight I rode Apollo during the firework show. This is how fireworks should be viewed- best ride on Apollo I've ever had.

I will also note that though it was a Wednesday night, the park was packed. More than 20 min. wait for almost everything. Busch has another winner on their hands. My Blackstone fears have been officially put to rest.

So, who actually made the meetup? If I understand it correctly, some of you were there but didn't see the group due to sheltering from the rain, Swiftman did hookup with Behind the Thrills but mentioned Nora has pix, Chris figured people bailed due to the storm, does that leave Swift and Nora? Anybody else?

Would love to hear more comments. These events are shorter than I guess I would've thought but OTOH if they weren't short you couldn't catch many of them in one night.
