The Crystal Method music just took me way back.

When that animation was made did they not know where it was going to be or how it was going to be themed? Did Paramount Parks buy the ride and just have a lottery and KD won and go the ride? The car had Paramount Parks on the front and were yellow, obviously not how the ride turned out and I dont believe it had OTS restraints either (the prototype car did) .

Also that box building to the right of it in the video is it supposed to be Outer Limits: FoF? At KD that building is on the other side of the lake.

This guy seems to have relatively reliable/researched data in his videos, so this may answer those questions:

Very interesting but to me if it was going to CGA why would it just have Paramount Parks branding on the animation. Almost as if Paramount was like "We'll take it" and then even CGA was not the planned destination, but the destination that somehow got out marketing wise.

From what I can tell, it was certainly a rushed decision - perhaps there were various forms of red tape they could avoid by placing the ride at KD, or that there was a last-minute decision to put a ride like this in to compete against BGW.

The compressor tanks for the launch should still be there to
They are. You can get a good view of both if you take the trek back to the Blood on the Bayou Haunt Maze in the appropriate season.

I always lament the fact that HyperSonic XLC is the only credit at KD (that was operational while I was alive) that I don't have. It's life fell under a portion of mine where I wasn't in to parks between traveling with my parents and being employed enough to afford solo trips.

I had many chances to ride it back in 2004 time. I was to scared thoughy I was only 7 lol I did wait in the line though. Would do anything nowadays to expierence it

The only chance I got was in 2004, my last visit before it closed. I wasn’t tall enough yet but the attendant told me I could ride anyway. I was already scared enough so I noped out of there…

Sad I never got to ride it, but I would have absolutely shit bricks during the launch, thinking I was small enough to slip through the restraints.

Not trying to call anyone old but it closed 3 years before I was born.

Not only are they there but they are still in active use to supply air to all the air gates and other items that require compressed air on yhat side of the park. If you listen closely you can hear the compressor refill them throughout the day.
