Here are two more. They show way too much of the actors. Its a poorly made video, in my opinion, when they show the reality of haunted mazes: people popping out at you.

On a side note, I noticed that they used a Lon Chaney Phantom of the Opera mask in Cornered. That bothered me enough, but when I realized that character is meant to be Jasper McCobb himself, that just made me mad. Don't insult one of the best makeup pioneers of all time, by using his most famous character as a generic mask.

Anyway, I hope they change that. Tampa has even scrapped in-house masks due to them looking too similar to an existing IP. Cornered is a fantastic maze, but I won't be able to overlook that anymore.

I actually find the masks to be much more effective in making the actors actually look scary. Outside of Bitten, Wendigo, and maybe the Pirates this year, the park's makeup does nothing in making the actors look scary or realistic IMO.

Well I guess if you decide not to open a seasonal snack stand, just board it up and pretend that it's a prop of some sort, instead of just moving it off the pathway...?

For anyone that's going to miss the Bacon on a stick, I believe it's available at Demon Drinks now.

Does this mean no more "highest quality" pre-boiled hotdogs? That is a complete disaster. Literally the worst!

That is a result of bad makeup design and application. proper use of prosthetics, latex, and color is far more effective then even the best masks.

I mostly agree with you on your point about the masks themselves. What I mean, is that I don't appreciate them using classic movie material, especially for the main character of the maze. It takes me out of the moment when I picture one of the most classic horror movie scenes, that today would be considered cheesy by most people.

Here is the mask.

Here is the scene. The park could do better, is all that I'm saying. The actor playing Jasper even points at you the same way. It's essentially the Phantom in overalls.

By the way, there is no sound. It's silent.

I'll be there tomorrow night for sure and probably Sunday. I'm fearing crowds for Friday.

Heading to the park now and the crowds should minimal before 4 and pick up heavy about 530-6. If we can't get everything done well back on Sunday which of course is usually low. If anyone wants to join us let me know.

Pesto is down right now. The guy at the gate said it would be extended.

What will be extended?

Took me a while but I think extended down-time.

Just checked the weather. I am VERY excited of the possibility of thunderstorms tonight. Shouldn't be too crowded then, I don't mind getting wet.

Driving to VA beach for Italian tonight so probably won't make it to the park tonight but will be at the park tomorrow and Sunday with a friend.
