hey guys. so I'm looking at the map at the park right now and it says the entrance for Lumberhack is behind Oktoberfest games? this is wierd to me

Unearthed? More like Uninteresting. I was not entertained. Maybe 10 actors in the whole maze (that I saw) right now.

You a wee right about the past evils being used to fill the end. Zombie, Jack, Destiny, and Trickster. Oh, and Scarlett right at the end behind a wall, finally. The design of the maze before the cave was fantastic though.

I was the second one to walk through in the first group. I expected too much. Cornered and Hack should be great though! Overall, really impressed with the decorations.

Keep in mind it is the first night. The actors need time to adjust to their settings.

Yup. I hope my opinion changes later in the season. The actors themselves did great though, i don't think they were at fault.

The floating Scarlet's in the ride area look like they should be swinging around.

Oh, it's that bad. The entire house felt like a practical joke. Great sets followed by empty rooms followed by a witch hanging from a string in front of a fan. Wash, rinse, and repeat. There's no staff, there's no story... Hell, they didn't even bother with ambient music or sound.

The house is shit and I feel like I wasted my life walking through it.

That said, LumberHack and Cornered are both super, super neat houses. Impressed with the experimentation they did with both of them.

Also, Deadline and Bitten are performing... like... really well! Whoever is training staff in Bitten in particular needs a raise because that house is hitting it hard tonight.

Sadly Cut Throat is performing poorly and Catacombs isn't really standing out of the crowd at all tonight. Not bad, but definitely not great.

okay so I went through all of the houses tonight. Cornered and Lumberhack were pretty great. the only bad thing about Lumberhack is the walk. oh my goodness it's a hike. they take you all the way around the Festhaus and then down the road next to the train tracks.  Scarlett's revenge was pretty crappy tho. the props and sets were amazing but like others said the actors were lacking. deadline and bitten were much better than the past years. cutthroat and catacombs were pretty meh.

I went on all the houses tonight. I too, like everyone else has stated, loved Cornered and Hack. The walk for Hack is a hike though. Unearthed had a great set, but there were no actors in the rooms. Bitten was amazing to me today. The actors really stepped it up when I went through. Deadline was weak I saw around 5-10 people throughout the whole maze. Cut Throat......well yeah....I didn't see but around 5 actors and they didn't even scare anyone. Catacombs was great tonight. There was a Scare Actor around every corner. They were on the ground, roof, and in the walls. Overall, I felt like it was a great opening day. I really enjoyed myself. Can't wait to see what comes in the coming weeks!

New houses were good(except Unearthed); especially Cornered and its amazing mirrors. I feel like Unearthed is suffering from Root of all Evil syndrome.

Here is a daytime video that I took of Lumberhack. This video was started a few steps into the maze. Also, it was daylight, so it is much better at night.

I also covered the event on my twitter page.

I have to firmly (and repectfully) disagree with Zachary saying Unearthed was horrible. I do agree with him on some points however. The actors are still weak, but I think that will improve over time. Tampa is having the same issue right now with actors. Their roles are very confusing for most people.

I agree with what was said about the detail (It was fantastic.), but I disagree about the transitions. This is the first time that the park has ever attempted to cover up the existing building. They did so throughout the house without having "blank space". If any space was "blank" it was just poorly lit.

The biggest criticism I agree with was the usage of the simulator cabin screen, and having scarlet dangling from a wire. I am pretty sure they are still working on this. The audio only worked in one room, as did the fans that are used for the ride. In one room, the fans were blowing on Scarlett, which was effective until the lighting changed due to the projected media.
Here is an unlisted clip of what I'm talking about to give an idea of the scene. Watch it on YouTube for the description.

Alternatively, they could just leave it like this. Then it would be like a bizarre Japanese funhouse. :p

Is lumberhack chainsaws

^It's "hillbillies". Some have chainsaws. There are actually some cool props there. Also, in Cornered, the rain slightly ruined the mirror effect for me. It was great otherwise. If the mirrors don't have rain all over them, then they could easily allow you to scare yourself.
;umberhack looks like it would be super dark at night. I wonder how actors feel at daytime ijn that maze lol

Thinking back, I think Cornered was the one that stayed solid from daylight to closing. The actors were also using their environment like they were used to it. Some were even picking up and throwing metal barrels on the ground. They were probably lightweight, but darn! That impressed me. The girls in the silo also had good sets of lungs.
