Jack is leading by over 50 votes, what in the hell is wrong with the general public?!

Judging by the comments on Facebook, I think most people think if they vote for him, they're going to get their oh so dearly missed dance party back in Killarney too.

If anyone is interested, you can vote here.

I'm not sure why anyone would pick a character who is currently part of HOS elsewhere in the park?

Edit:

FYI, You can vote once a day.

Thank you for voting. You're able to vote once a day through August 28. Find out Monday, August 31, which four horrors will be featured at the new maze Unearthed-Scarlett's Revenge.

Yeah, I commented reminding people that whoever they vote for gets a spot in the maze, not anywhere else. Even then, I just cannot fathom WHY Jack is so appealing to people? I'd much rather have a character like the Lady of the Gardens as the spear head, not a cartoon pumpkinhead.

I would like to have all twelve characters. Of course, with the addition of Scarlett, that makes thirteen. I wouldn't be surprised to see all of them, with a bigger emphasis on whichever one wins. I think I see a pattern.

I hope that this maze is not too much like 13:Your Number's Up, but it sure sounds like that could be the plan. Perhaps they will pick one from each category. I put each category in order. The categories are: Williamsburg favorites, Tampa favorites, and other/more miscellaneous characters.

I think it is interesting to see characters that have been specific to Tampa.
Group 1
1.Vlad: The "Vampire King" from Bitten.
2.Ripper: From Ripper Row.
3.Captain: From Cut Throat Cove.
4.Bones: Every character in Catacombs.

Group 2 (Tampa Icons)
1.Zombie: The Lady of the Gardens icon for both Williamsburg and Tampa.
2.Queen: M.L. Morte (The Voodoo Queen) from Death Water Bayou.
3.Death: The Death Jockey. He was an icon that had the ability to transfigure and kill people with his loud music.
4.Trickster: A failed icon from Tampa's 2011 event. He never made a real appearance in the park because they couldn't get the mask and makeup to mirror the one in the commercial. He was also too ambiguous.

Group 3 (Misc.)
1.Jack: An icon in both Williamsburg and SeaWorld San Antonio. This looks like the San Antonio depiction. In that depiction he is less playful. He ranges from prank-ish to almost downright evil. However, he never hurt anyone without an accomplice.
2.Conroy: New character?
3.Destiny: Also known as "The Possessed", Destiny was one of "The Thirteen" in Tampa's 2013 event.
4.Chester: Chester was the name of the "Puppet Master" in Fear Fair. It was made unclear as to whether or not he dressed as a puppet himself. He probably wore disguises.

There you have it- a more straight-forward description of the characters and backgrounds of each one.

only 4 will be choosen, no more or less.

jack, ripper, the lady of the gardens, and destiny have the spots now - interesting mix

Sounds like it will be a giant clusterfuck in there

We might as well have kept 13

I disagree. While we still don't know how the house will be organized, the concept still sounds way better than 13. 13's theme was not scary or at all immersive in any way to me. And unless the phobias applied to you, it generally wasn't scary for many. I was easily more scared in CTC(pirates are not scary), or Root(fear of plants and fiberglass alien eggs?)than I ever was in 13.

That being said, Monsters are easily more scary than phobias to me.

[...]this could be a cool way to incorporate some of the great stuff from Tampa's HOS.

I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't mid if Williamsburg just got a full copy of one of their mazes. That being said, aside from the Voodoo Queen, and possibly Destiny (the possessed), I would not care to see any of those icons. Trickster was intended to be a bigger icon, but he was scrapped last minute, because the commercial they came up with was awful.

Here was the scrapped promotional video for the Trickster.

Good point, I'm just afraid the house will be a random mishmash of monsters with no cohesive theme. And I question the ability of the theme of "a bunch of different monsters" to create a truly immersive experience.

and I disagree that an age limit would cut profits, if anything it would bring in more of the younger crowd who tend to spend lots of money on booze

I know them underage kids love to booze it up with their fake IDs and weekly allowance money. ;)

Someone else had a good point about how there are no identifying documents or IDs at that age, so how would enforcing such a ban even work? Just park employees walking up to people who they thought looked too young, asking them their age and taking their word for it? Doesn't seem very practical.

That said, I do wish the park would use stronger language when warning parents of young children that the event is not family friendly.

The same way they enforce it in movie theaters.

How is it enforced in movie theaters? I honestly don't know. I mean, I know that it doesn't matter if you are underage as long as you are with an adult, but I don't think that's what you're proposing for Busch?

At any rate, I'm not just talking about about somehow stopping under-13 at the gate- I'm talking about how to deal with getting under-13 who are already in the park out. Are you proposing some sort of checkpoint? I think the idea of emptying the park entirely and requiring reentry would be a logistical nightmare and make a lot of people very, very unhappy. To me, definitely not worth it to have my whole day interrupted just to keep kids out- and I still feel 13 is way too high a threshold, even if you were to impose a hard age restriction.
