Also can we talk about the video they posted, such a great one. Is that really the house we go in, does anyone know?

Busch Gardens posted a video on YouTube, and just made it private.  The description says "Don’t miss the all-new house from the producer of The Blair Witch Project, Unearthed™- Scarlett’s Revenge."

Even though I wasn't a fan of the movie, I can't help but be excited that the park got creative input from one of the filmmakers. While Blair Witch wasn't that scary to watch, it would've been scary as heck to be immersed in.

I remember having to nudge my wife so she would quit snoring in the theater.

I for one was not in the slightest scared by Blair Witch Project, however many people were, making it one of the scariest movies of all time. If the parks did quality work with this producer, it could be a very scary and incredibly immersive house. However, that is only if the proper work was done.

I'm calling it, Lumberhack will be the new Root circa it's opening year. Just reading the description makes me giggle.

In other news, I'm INCREDIBLY stoked for Unearthed and Cornered. and incredibly sad I won't be going into any of them.

The most exciting thing is this quote from the Producer of BWP: "With Howl-O-Scream, we’re dealing with a crazy convergence of 360-degree storytelling, merging physical experiences and technologies to create a sort of hyper-virtual reality. It’s live, immersive terror and it can take your breath away.” I can already think of a few non-traditional scare tactics they may use in the house for that 'immersive terror'.

Think of all the money that went into that video and they used RCT sound effects for roller coaster sounds.

I think I had probably the least hope in Scarlett's revenge out of the three new houses. But hearing about how the park is bringing in pretty interesting outside sources to help design it, I have more hope. One thing I find really interesting about all three houses is that they have a storyline, rather than just a theme. We haven't really seen anything like that since Deadline and before that. It's really interesting that they're taking a different direction in how they are designing their maze "experiences" this year, I just hope it works.

I hope that they will show us all that a good maze can be done in the Europe in the Air building. Every maze so far has relied on too much of the already existing structure. I also wonder how much of Williamsburg's team actually attended/was involved with the collaborative effort.

With all of the recent management changes, I have no idea how that works now. Scott Swenson used to be the main mediator for the parks. Obviously that's not the case anymore.

Its cheesy considered the other names of houses are fair, like Deadline a nice name for a house. "Lumberhack" reminds me of a lumber yard operator hacking from years of smoking.
Starts Hacking* The name is offical and its the cheesiest name, of a haunted house in BG's history.

Got some cool pictures of Cornered tonight, thanks to the Summer Sayonara party. My pal is an employee and I was his +1. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of scarecrows in this maze.

"Masquerage"
"Piratical Purgatory"
"Grin and Scare it"
"Deadline"

Its really not that uncommon for pun names to happen with haunts. They are all awful, and wonderful. And are a lot better than

"Cursed"
"Bitten"
"Hunted"
"Catacombs"
