No one under 18 can work for HOS. This is done to avoid minors being assaulted . It's not a great thing to think about but guests can be awful to the performers. Especially women.

I would love to have more staff, but hiring students might partly explain my distaste for KD's method. It's not that the actors at KD are trained better. In fact, they just aren't as restrained. At KD, some of the actors actually run into people for the first few weekends. Don't get me wrong, I love enthusiasm. KD actors have great enthusiasm, but safety comes first.

KD's actors are not taught very well about how to come at you safely. Howl-O-Scream actors, on the other hand, are almost too restricted. Other than safety, actors may or may not learn how to do effective scares. Sometimes even the stage managers can make all the difference.

There are big flaws in both park's training/staffing methods, but hopefully BG can learn how to improve there event without sacrificing professionalism.

I remember in 2013 a Vampire Point Vampire chasing a girl at a sprinting pace and then her falling flat on the ground, skimming just about every piece of skin that came in contact with the ground. I hope that actor was fired.

I think it has a lot to do with the crowd type. At KD you have a much younger crowd so when performers come into contact with guests it doesn't usually lead to a big storm. But at BGW we have a much more older audience, and one that tends to cry foul much more often.

I had to put this in this thread along with others, just because it bothered me so. At the "big announcement" last Saturday for Pass Member preview day, Carl Lum was going through all of the upcoming events, Tempesto opening, Star Spangled Nights, then he said, how about Halloween? Who likes Halloween? ......... I may be reading into it too much but why on Earth would he not say Howl-O-Scream? Made me just a tad annoyed.

The man pronounced Celtic Fyre wrong last year. He actually may be much better than Scott Gasparich, who remembers "Irish dancing show" from Scott in 2013? Or "The Oktoberfest show."

I wonder if they still have the rights to film, they could fill in the blank stage at the Teatro by setting up a screen and playing the film the in a similar set-up to the Movies of the Macabre. The park could also rename 13 to the Dark Tower for a throwback, change up the really bad rooms, remove the numbers, and it could be counted as a "new" house.

I don't know about that. Haunts of the Old Country only lasted about five years in comparison to Howl-O-Scream which has lasted over fifteen years. Certainly the latter is more influential and significant in the history of Busch Gardens. I'd say its more likely we see some boards around the park about the history of Howl-O-Scream than them to change the name. Rebranding the event would likely confuse regular customers of the event into wondering what happened. However; I feel as though knowing Busch Gardens they would've wasted all the money they've had in the budget for the 40th by September, and probably will see no sort of difference tied to the celebration.
