Isn't the World's Most Beautiful Theme Park just terribly ugly and unenjoyable when it's not covered in patriotic tinsel and jingoism?

Look, I generally dislike SSN to be sure, but I think saying it's jingoistic is taking it too far. Sure it's a little corny, but "jingoism" has aggressive and combative connotations that I just don't see as being present in that event.

At any rate, I'm disappointed about the late start-date for HOS, especially because I'm local and like to take advantage of the low crowds in September as much as possible.

I'd respectfully disagree. While not directly combative, SSN is a representation of unnecessary extreme patriotism, and a representation of it in an aggressive, war-like time. Probably even an extreme exaggeration at that. Just my opinion.

Anyways, this isn't the SSN thread, so I guess we'd better get back to HOS.

For the record this isn't the first time the park started HOS late. HOS opening was pushed to mid September in 2012. Not only that but like summer hours bouncing between 9 and 10, HOS opening seems to have bounced around between mid-late September since the event started.

Not like the event is all that great in September anyway plus the bring a friend days last year just made Friday crowds suck

I would almost confirm MSORR to return as it seemed to be very well received by most of the GP and I imagine it cost a decent amount of money to do the projections. Right now it's rumored Bitten and Catacombs won't return but they've been on the chopping block for years. :p I'm just gonna put this on the table but with Tempesto in Festa, this year would be the perfect year to add a clown terror-tory and an overlay for all of the rides in the area.

I, honestly, would rather see catacombs go. Bitten is so intricately themed that it is unlike most any house in the park. If they used some creativity (a lot to ask for, I know) the park could easily come up with new places to hide. I just don't want such a greatly themed house to be thrown out because they keep reusing the same hiding places every year.

Bitten is a gorgeous house but done to death -- they haven't changed anything in like 2932343 years. Not even moving the location of the sand trap. Talent can make it a great maze, but surely by now the GP is tired of it. I know I am.

That's the big question, Rob -- the park doesn't seem to want to pony up any money for a new house. They might not even have it.
