If Busch had the money and tech, bitten as a haunted manor would be awesome. Using harnesses and pulley systems (see Carrie Coffee Shop Prank) to have people thrown about or lifted. Would freak people out more than people going "Bleh! Very Scary!"

13 should be something Irish related to fit theming! Thats the biggest thing that keeps getting lost! Mazes dont fit the surrounding themes! Since WR is basically wilds of Ireland, make it themed like caverns of darkness! Goblins, trolls, and evil folklore!

Clowns should most definitely come back. If youre gonna have an area look like a circus but ignore the fact it looks like a circus in the fall, either change the fall theming, or renovate thew whole area... otherwise.its just plain lazy. Clowns are scarier than smurf pirates, and deserve a comeback.

Demons can stay, just because i like to stare at the demon DJ XD. A hell themed maze where its a demonic nightclub would fit the theming of the Terror-tory.

I also know that they could turn the london EBA (Employee Break Area)into a maze light the good old days, and just have them go to the Ireland EBA just up the road...

Definitely keep RR but like it was the first year. Just because you made a little coke shop, doesnt mean you should take away part of the decor that made Ripper Row awesome. Adjust it to fit in... I think a Coke Market themed to RR would be neat. Also, the restaraunt should be renovated to be Mrs. Lovetts Pie Shoppe.

No break area has ever been used for a maze, mainly because employees need to have a place to eat when they are on break. If you are referring to Sea Dog Cemetery and Wicked Woods (I think), those actually inside of what is today known as Sesame Street. The pathway behind The British Baker has only ever been used as a queue line. Furthermore, the Ireland Break Area is no just up the road, it is located by the entrance of the queue to 13: Your Numbers Up.

As far as houses go in general, I doubt we will see any of the more permanent houses like Deadline and Bitten go. Since their up all year long I can only imagine they were built to be more permanent. I think it is far more likely to see houses in temporary locations to be replaced first like CTC, RoaE, 13, Catacombs. Its just cheaper to do that.

PR is spot on with that entire post.

Catacombs has been first on the list of houses to replace for years. 13 would be my pick but for some absurd reason the GP adore it. I'll never understand.

Aside from Bitten, Dead Line is, in my honest opinion, the park's best designed house (not just thematically, but layout-wise as well). I would be sad to see it go. Dead Line's problem isn't at all the house itself- it's the park's complete inability to light it properly and, more importantly, to staff it properly. Dead Line has consistently had the worst performing cast in the park and its best scares are often devoid of actors. Dead Line simply needs a cast.

Anyone else remember Cavern of Darkness in 2009? They tried this. First time using the interior of the ride as a house, old Clancy faces hidden in piles of gold, a pitiful attempt at a heights scare . . . man was it terrible. 13 is such a vast improvement in comparison. (They also put sliders inside the rooms where you normally load into the ride, and they literally TORE UP the walls and floor.)

I actually loved Cavern of Darkness, it was one of my favorite houses. It fit the Irish theme in it's location. There were some things that I do realize needed some work and needed improvements like when they had you walk across the ride there was essentially a sheet of fabric hiding the seating on one side and that was quite a dead spot as far as theming goes. However, I felt the theme and idea was clear and concise. I also loved how the cavern theme worked perfectly with the faux cavern-like walls already in place.

I would love to see a Cursed theme house in EITA queue. Imagine hearing the Cursed theme song play as a creature slowly makes it way closer to you between the cavern walls... I wonder if we could see a Terror-Tory replaced?

Is that what was inside the house? I only went to HoS once in 2009, and since CoD had a noon opening, we did it early, and thus true to it's name, it was dark. I couldn't tell one thing from another, especially considering I have transition lenses, so going from the bright sun to super dark, wasn't ideal. And taking off my glasses would just mean everything was blurry.

The only other thing I remember was I tripped over an actor who had their leg out on the floor. Not the best experience with the house.

^Surprisingly enough, Redsoxfan, Busch Gardens actually does take advice from Kings Dominion for Halloween. I had a chat with one of Kings Dominion's VPs over the summer. According to him, BGW and KD are in closer contact with each other than you'd think, and management from each park visits their competitor a few times per year, especially during the Halloween season. Apparently a few years ago, a person whom this VP described as "the guy in charge of Howl-O-Scream" actually called KD personally, and basically asked what KD was doing that was making Haunt do so much better than HOS. Course, this is coming from a guy who's worked at KD since the beginning and takes a lot of pride in the park, so not everything he said may have been 100% true. But take that for what you will.

Speaking of that little chat, for anyone who's interested, I could have sworn that VP said KD has contacted BGW before for advice about landscaping. :p

"Well first you have to rip out a couple(or several) trees, and do not replace them. Next, in the summer time just do not water your plants, they can fend for themselves. Also, don't trim your hedges until they have the ability to poke at a guest while walking by them."

I think HOS is fine how it is, except it could use more scares! Especially in wendigo woods, remove all the hollering and make it scary!

Wendigo Woods was about immersing you in the atmosphere which the park really accomplished. As for scares, they could add a bungee scare and maybe a Wendigo that grabs one of the victims from the side of the path. Could we see the replacement of any Terror-Tories this year?

I think Wendigo Woods had excellent potential but the park failed to really expand on it. Outside of the entrance arches, there was little in the way of theming other than blue mesh. They created a great sense of drama and danger, but because there weren't any true "scares" the whole idea seemed somewhat anti-climatic. I would like to see maybe three or four actual monsters roaming the area, running around scaring guests. Heck, if they're really so broke they can't afford new costumes, just repurpose some of the old werewolf suits.

I actually think Wendigo Woods is fine the way it is. There are enough scares going around to keep you on edge between the 6 foot firecracker dudes, people with bullhorns, the clipboard lady, the roamers with bleeding out body parts, etc. The atmosphere is fine. The actors have good enough costumes. It's well themed enough to put some of KD's scare zones to shame.

Fix the pirates. Fix Ripper Row. Bring back some of the vampire props. Don't touch Wendigo or Demon.

Oh, trust me, KD had some serious issues (mainly staffing) in their scare zones this season. But all of them had more theming than just blue mesh thrown over some fences.
