Did HOS have the haunting music playing throughout the park that they usually have?

Depends on the area. Wildlife reserve is the same stuff. I was with some buddies so we were doing a lot of talking and didn't notice the music in each area, but I will say, what I heard, fit the HOS theme for that area.

I wonder how many people who like this event have been to other major Halloween events at other parks... Ill be there Sunday....review will follow Monday morning.

Haha, I do have to say I can't wait for KD this year, which surprises even me to say.

Like things or not at HOS, can we please restrict our criticism to the event itself and not guests and their own views of the event? Thanks. That is all.

Now look into my eye...

Has doing to do with criticizing others. Some will expect lower standards and be happy with them. Some will not, some will want what they know something can be. Complacency has never gotten anyone anywhere; except a few bottom feeders maybe.

Quality is not a priority to everyone.... clearly.

I agree completely! You know what analogy I can liken it too.

I look forward to your critique all the way!

I went to both HOS in Williamsburg and HHN in Orlando last year. I was on vacation the last weekend of September and I really wanted to check out HHN. I thought it was a great event, much better than HOS. I enjoyed the houses though some weren't not as scary as others. The street experience was a little lacking imo. They had alot of scareactors on the street but many didn't do a good job of scaring imo.

If you search back somewhere around here I posted last year saying I felt BGW HoS was superior to USO's HHN. I feel that that will not be the case this year.

This ad hominem attack is really just unnecessarily insulting. People have different opinions, and it has nothing to do with standards of quality.

I have been trying not to say this, because everyone will be so offended, but I don't like any of the shows in the park, and I never have. When I was in school and taking ballet and character dancing and my parents dragged me into the Festhaus, I didn't like the show. All I see are the technical mistakes the dancers are making. I look at pictures of the dancers and I cringe. I heard the dialogue, and I cringe. And honestly some of the singers shouldn't.

But that doesn't mean I have higher standards than everyone else. It just means I like different things.

Just because you have found things to criticize doesn't make your opinion better or your tastes more refined. And it certainly doesn't give you justification for feeling superior to everyone who disagrees with you.

OK, rant over. And I apologize to all of the very hard working performers in advance. Although this may prove those who see me as some park cheerleader wrong. I just believe that nothing is gained by publicly criticizing other people, unless they are being intentionally rude or mean.

It should not insult anyone except those who have moved themselves place via complacency. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Finally I want to address the crappy attitude and appearance this site has been showing. I am not alone in this at all. I have friends who look at this site occasionally and there are members who agree as well. This site has been giving off a very negative tone and attitude towards Howl-o-Scream and budget cuts, and entertainment in general. I am saying this because I care, but you guys really need to cut out the politics. All I ever see is full posts about how crappy this event is and how terrible the park is doing and how we should all just hate every bit of it. It looks bad on our part especially in reports or news when people read those, they should be getting non-opinionated facts. I hate that you guys almost ruined my Howl-o-Scream this year. I was literally depressed about the event because all you guys did was make the event out to be trash. Guess what happened to me during my visit? I had fun! Guests had fun! Everyone enjoyed themselves! Why? Because that is what the park is about having fun and enjoying yourself. When you come into the event expecting crap, guess what you are going to get? Crap! All I am saying is walk into the event with an open mind, and open heart, and ready for fun. Don't go into the park thinking about budget cuts and a crappy infrastructure because you aren't supposed to be thinking about that. Heck, you really shouldn't even know about it! Also to note, why in the world is the first 8 pages of hate and crap? Get your stuff together people, time to grow up.

Run down a list here

1) Crappy attitude is a direct result of crappy goings ons around the park.

2) I feel very very very bad for you if a site can ruin your time at a theme park.

3) Plenty of people were wtf'ing there. Good crowd flow of adults leaving by 8.

4) You do not have to go in looking for budget cuts. It wreaks of them like a sonnet of farts after bad seafood tacos.
