"Insiders" on FB are claiming that poor attendance to member preview night in 2021 is the reason that they removed this. IF it that were true, surely it was because it was on a Thursday night, making it more difficult for people to show up.

Member only days were a huge reason we signed up for the membership.

Preview day last year was definitely sparsely attended, but that was part of the appeal. Some years may have been more crowded than the days immediately following it, but I can't remember going to one that was uncomfortably packed like they are later into October. I'm legitimately pissed they've removed that perk. I never really go to Christmas Town anyway, so I don't care about that preview, but HOS preview night was like my Christmas, I look forward to it all year long.

I went to the Member VIP party thing for Pantheon and was pretty impressed. Mostly because the cupcakes they gave out were actually good. It‘d be nice if they at least did something like that for the HOS member event… cupcakes and quick queue for one haunted house

Seems like they found a way to barely market the preview day and put it on an off day as a way to get numbers supporting their decision to remove the perk as a whole.

This was more or less what I was trying to get at. As if they gave themselves an out.

On the subject of Nevermore, which Edgar Allan Poe poems/stories are referenced in that particular attraction?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think Nevermore has "The Raven", "Lenore", "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Pit and the Pendulum", "The Masque of the Red Death", and "The Black Cat". Edgar Allan Poe also attended the University of Virginia.

I’m no Poe expert, but I didn’t think a lot of the stories were carried out as well as they could have. Props to “The Raven” and “The Masque of the Red Death” though… I thought both of those looked nice. Does anyone know where it’s going this year? I think Catacombs’ old location by Royal Palace could really help the house out.

DF old station.

Here's a bit of news I haven't seen reported yet. I hear that the prohibition on daytime staff also working as scare actors has been lifted. This opens up the potential pool of scare actors substantially. Hopefully this will help with the understaffing issues HOS often has had in the past.

If true, this is enormous news! The inability for employees to work normal jobs by day and do HOS by night has been a MAJOR staffing pain point for YEARS now. This really could go a long way towards helping HOS' staffing issues.
