Actually really enjoyed the behind the scenes house tour with a small group this past weekend. Helped us appreciate the thought and props that went into the design of Werewolves, even if the house was sort of a dud at night. Getting to see/experience the makeup application process with actual scare actors, and seeing parts of the employee area, sign shop, etc. was pretty interesting for someone who had never been back there, and only caught glimpses from a few rides. No beverages included this year, and a LOT more walking than when Killarney Diner was the subject, so maybe bring a water. Kind of wish the house that we got to tour was Bloodshot, just to try and glean more from the easter eggs and jokes throughout that house.
Unfortunately depending on who you talk to either guests damaged ir or squirrels chewing on it damaged it the result either way was the head falling off.

Went to the park last night and had a great time despite the crowds. I managed to ride everything I wanted to and hit all the mazes once.
While the troll is gone (hopefully he comes back next year) the park is covered in fog again. I was beginning to wonder where the fog went.
Werewolf was fully staffed last night. They even had more than 2 werewolves in the entire maze. Its a bit better when there are more actors to go around. Each one was great.
Maze staffing was pretty inconsistent across the board. Killarney moved all their actors to the final scenes so the beginning was pretty devoid of actors. Bloodshot would stick all their staff in the middle leaving the beginning and end scenes pretty dead. Bayou and Clown Town were about the same on staffing. Lots of dead space in both although Bayou did have actors in different spots than normal so that was a nice change.
Maze actors were hit-miss. Some standing around and staring, some actors on high energy.
Scare zones were performing really well. Those actors are much higher energy than the maze actors. I didn't see the bungee or chainsaws this time, which was a bit disappointing,
Fiends is as great as always. I wasn't able to hit Monster Stomp but I'll get to it before the end of the season. I did catch the end of Skeletones which was interesting. I'll definitely need to check that out.
Its been a pretty solid year so far. I'm gonna try to make it back one more time before the end of the season just so I can see the rest of the park shows.

He's back since last night! Shout-out to whoever internally keeps piecing him back together again! The park should just buy a new one, but the effort is appreciated regardless.
They did a great job. I can't tell where he was damaged.

I…really want to know what they thought the Werewolves house was trying to achieve. Like, did they just say “hey, it’s gonna dump people at BBW and we have some lab coats and technical gear?” So many questions.
Didn’t get to do Bloodspot, as we arrived a bit later than the rest of our group who did it while we were en route. Not sure I’ll get back up.

Went to Hollow scream last night and was very impressed. Not a big haunted house guy so did not do the haunted houses but did see all of the shows back to back before Hollowscream started. Ended up seeing the witching hour at 6 and walked around the park plenty to see all the scare zones a couple of times. Was very impressed and really had a great time. Yes, there were some spots like Laurakeet Glenn that only had ambient lighting without fog or scare actors, but the lighting and the music made up for it. Definitely think that they nailed it with the fog and ambient lighting around each scare zone and area of the park. Shout out to Busch Gardens for making Hollow scream amazing this year. Shows were amazing as always. And last, but not least my favorite scare zone was probably discrotec. If that’s how you pronounce it. That’s just my honest opinion though of the night.
I would like to congratulate Busch Gardens Williamsburg for successfully making it through Howl O Scream without making the news due to a fight.
We went on Saturday and they were strictly enforcing the chaperone policy. We saw them turn away 4 teenage boys because none of them had an ID on them. The poor security guard was cussed and yelled at by them but she stood her ground. We got a survey via email about our visit and made sure to give kudos to the security team.
Ended up watching a scare actor in discrotek get on a middle aged guy for trying to jump scare her when walking by. Happend to be walking right behind him when it happened so front row seat action. Let’s just say that the terror and in his face when she got on him said it all. Shout out to the scare actors for all the amazing work that they do. Job looks fun but I’m sure they go through a lot when doing it. Also ended up seeing the same thing in ripper row last year with a guest hitting a scare actor on the back of her head. Again front row seat action . Big kudos to the scare actors.
