I kinda agree with @Zachary on this…using the budget to bring a fourth-stage show when you only have five moderately good houses is a choice. Couple that with them using more of the budget to “update” lost mines, I mean why does a brand new house already need an update at all? Anyways, I am beginning to worry about the quality of this season.

My guess is that it's probably easier to find entertainment folks to cast in the show than it is to staff an additional house with both scare squad and operations team members. I don't agree with the fourth show but from a staffing and operations standpoint I can see why. Also makes sense from a nostalgia perspective, even if the show is not the best people will eat it up.

I agree with you 100%. Its easier to get staff for stage show rather than a house. I wouldn't want to work a house in those conditions: spit on and abused by guests, hot dusty work environments. I'd rather have a stage show than another house.

Confession: We've been to Howl-o-scream 5 times (live 6+ hours away) and even though we've stayed for 2-3 nights each visit, we've never seen a Halloween show -- other than in Das Festhaus. We go for the houses and decorations and scares.

I am… very excited for this? More staffing for the houses, more things to keep people off the pathways, more to do when the weather gets messy, and more value to me as a pass holder.

If the show sucks then I’m on the other side of it. But I don’t see BGW bringing back an extra shittier version of fiends with the budget a show like this requires. I’m excited to see a bit more “adult” stuff in the park for Howl-O-Scream.

I agree with the extreme doubt that this show will be any good. But I do not agree that I would've preferred to see a 6th house. Sure, I'd like a ton of houses, but similar to shows, I have seen no evidence that more is better when it comes to houses at BGW. Thinner staffing, thinner budget per house, less effort put in, etc. I would rather them be able to concentrate resources and make 5 slightly above average houses than 6 below average houses.

What they really should do is nix Fiends the Squeakquel and throw some money culinary's way.

It’s time for new TERRORfying details about two Terror-Tories making their debut at this year’s Howl-O-Scream:

The Bash: Dare to join this horrifying reunion and face the legends of horror from years past that refuse to rest

Stalker Street: The townsfolk barricade themselves in their homes, while sinister scarecrows stalk the deserted streets, hunting for their next victim.

The Bash sounds like a good concept if executed properly. If they can, we could have a fantastic terror-tory on our hands.

I wonder if the two new houses will be themed to the new terrortories..

Busch Gardens Williamsburg said in the comments on Facebook that they will announce the haunted houses when they get 500 likes on this post!

How about I do BGW a favor and let you know about the two new houses so that they don't have to. One is a clown themed one and the other is an industrial horror house.

Looks like some of Circo Sinistro is being reused. Wishful thinking If I can think of name I would go with Psy-Clown Circus

My understanding is the Clown house is a heavily recycled house. The exact description I was given was they were told go grab everything Clown related in storage and haul it over and we will make it fit.
