Does this hint towards Fiends making a return? I’ve not been keeping up with the seasonal show seen at BGW.

I don't know. I'm skeptical. If Festhaus, The Globe, or even Il Teatro had been vacated, I'd think it more likely. I'm pretty skeptical of the Abbey Stone HOS show rumors though because the entire point of no longer using the theater for HOS was to allow time for Celtic Fyre teardown and Christmas Town setup. The Christmas Town Abbey Stone shows have, consistently, been the most popular non-eatery shows in my estimation—it seems very weird to harm them with a HOS Abbey Stone show.

Maybe a new Fiends could show up in the Royal Palace Theatre? Twas That Night normally opens late during Christmas Town, right? Maybe that would allow the time needed for a switchover?

Another note: With three theater shows announced for this season already, I think it's hard to imagine a fourth, significant, theatrical production (what people would expect from Fiends). If BGW did try to pull it off, I would really question why, honestly. Adding another major show seems absurd when the event is still sitting at only five houses. The money spent on a new theatrical show in addition to the existing slate would be MUCH better allocated to getting that house count back up to pre-COVID territory if you ask me.

Re: the likelihood of Fiends in general (ignoring location and budget issues), I do think there's a significant chance. It would be an easy marketing win with a lot of fans (until they see the dramatically worse show that would likely result from a Fiends created by BGW today, of course). Personally, I hope they let it die though. We have already seen the best Fiends that we will ever see and I'd rather it go out on that high note than have its corpse reanimated into a far worse version (see: FL's recently).

If they have a show in the Abbeystone again, this could be my favorite Howl-O-Scream in years. Otherwise, I think I’m going to be disappointed by the low number of mazes. An AST show would make up for that in my mind.

I would like them to leave Abbey Stone alone and just use the time between summer and Christmas to set-up for Gloria. They could rename Dublin Over to the Abbey Cadavers. They could sing an assortment of Celtic, Halloween and Samhain songs.

I would think the 'new' show will be something outside in France in the tent near Josephine's.

It just looks like SWO HoS imagery to me. Since things like merchandising are already the same across the chain, I would not be surprised if they are now sharing marketing pictures, as well.

Looks like next year howl-o-scream at bgw might be a separate ticketed event? This new member reward for October 2024 states members will receive 1 free guest ticket for the daytime event. Which sounds alot like a separate ticketed event to us. What are your thoughts? Pro vs cons.View attachment 30154
Would be interested to see if this comes true considering we now know that Kings Dominion (and Carowinds) are NOT doing separate ticket admission to Haunt/SCarowinds this year. Definitely seems like it would be a step in the wrong direction for Busch, but hey, anything to make some extra money, right?

New show announced: Fiends: The FREAKquel

Expectations: Basement level. The park has shown no recent ability to produce anything even close to Fiends (Abbey Stone) in quality.

More importantly though, we desperately need a 6th house, not a 4th stage show. Houses are why normal guests go to the event (as evidenced by the lines, QuickQueue sales, etc.) This money would have been far better spent pushing the core of the event back up closer to pre-COVID levels, not increasing show investment past where it has been in many, many, many years.

Really dislike this.

Not going to disagree with you. But after reading many comments on Facebook so far. Many people are considering getting passes again or making the trip just because this show is returning. Might just be the thing this park needs to help it's reputation.

Oh, I don't disagree that it's going to land well with parts of the hardcore BGW the audience. In fact, I'd say that, like in Tampa, no matter how bad the show actually is, it will still have a subset of hardcore fans. I just don't think that, if BGW was looking at this clearheadedly, this investment decision makes sense.
