I actually prefer outdoor houses when done right, it is just very hard to. Outdoors, nighttime, and in the right amount of woods really can add to a lacking sense of control and heightened tension, like anything can happen.

Just hard to balance this with things being too open and actors being scarce. The outdoors at nighttime can add a lot of ambiance if you accent it well.

My thoughts exactly. There is nothing in that spot to work with. No pre-existing trail in the woods or retiring house to piggyback off of (like Bayou using the interior spaces of Circo). Whatever is built will obviously have to be a ground-up house from scratch, and this is what worries me most. Nothing is being built there yet as far as we know. The event starts in three months and there is no construction of this seemingly ground-up outdoor house in the middle of a parking lot……

Maybe things have changed? I’m going off of info that I heard a couple of months ago.

I do not want to derail this thread further, but let me add that I went to six park haunts last year (BGW, BGT, SWO, KD, Dorney, and HHN). Not only was SWO’s easily the worst event among all of them, but also it is one of the worst I have ever experienced, including a variety of other parks. This year I am going to Mickey’s Not So Scary instead of SWO’s HOS.

Converted the thread to a wiki and updated it with the currently available lineup info (confirmed returning scarezones and shows alongside a bunch of placeholders mainly).

Per the website update today, Meat Market and Jack is Back are both dead. I think the Hack Pack is out as well? Presumably that's where the additional scarezone is comin' from. Not the least bit sad about any of those changes. Positive all around so far.

It also appears that the rumors of the death of Monster Stomp on Ripper Row didn't come true which, needless to say, I'm thrilled about.
