Alcoholism is a serious problem and I'd rather not be shamed by all of you self-righteous yuppies.
Depends on crowds...if there is hardly anyone there they will close early.Non-Alcohol question . . .
If there's rain, does HOS pretty much shut down? Or not really at all unless it's an absolute downpour?
I've never been to HOS (or any theme park Halloween event), so a total newbie here.
Thanks
One small gripe. Apparently my season pass still has my legal name (boys name) and I definitely do not fit that name anymore. The man taking my ticket looked at it and looked at me then started shouting the name on the ticket looking for its owner. I had to show my old ID and explain that I was transgender, to which he looked at me like i was crazy. I laughed it off but it was a bit annoying and uncomfortable. Its certainly my fault for not changing the info though and i know they are just doing their job.
I'd love to know where the violence is occurring? More in the mazes, or more out in the open in the scare zones?Getting back to the violence in the park, I heard some interesting data today. It is my understanding that there has been a significant increase in the number of incidents this year.
The cause of this surge is unfortunately probably unknowable, but possibly worth some debate.
Then why close at 9pm and not stay open till midnight. It literally poured all afternoon and early evening then at 9pm the rain mostly let up.....I was up there, not inside the park but there. The event ran for three hours, so they didn’t just send their staff home. The houses were fully staffed; the shows were running; and we even saw some actors on the paths. Additionally, they probably are very hesitant to close on the final weekend of the event.
Then why close at 9pm and not stay open till midnight.
There wasnt anyone there at 9 either. There wouldn't have been anyone left in the park by midnight.
There wasnt anyone there at 9 either.
Add on: just left the park.. it started raining around 10:30, and once that started, EVERYONE left. We got last ride of the night on Apollo’s in front seat. Today was worth going. Except for the ridiculously high number of drunks. Other than that, great night, scare squad was really haulin it today. As it got later on though, they weren’t quite working as hard, but that’s to be expected when you gotta work till midnight! Also, Battle For Eire a walk-on, and so were most of the flatrides today. Longest line I had to wait in(cause I use RAP)was about 20 mins for Frostbite. Just beforehand, someone got kicked out. Don’t know why, but they did. Vbolt was finally running both platforms, and Griffon was doing fairly well on operations, but then a shift change basically snailized the operations. They were running 3 trains and waited till one train got through the whole circuit, before dispatching. Oh well, can’t always be perfect. Vault was slammed. 2 hr wait until 11:00. I saw Monster Stomp on Ripper Row for the first time, and I gotta say, WOW!!!!! That was impressive! Y’all might not believe this, but Alpie was running fairly smooth today. Here’s a little trick to remember for alpie: want a smoother ride, sit in the middle two seats, want a more intense, but less smooth ride, sit on the edges. Anyways, great trip!Current update... RIDICULOUS lines... I’m in line for Apollo’s atm and I’m legally blind. I was walking through Oktoberfest and I was using my cane, and somebody stepped on my cane and DIDNT EVEN APOLOGIZE!!! Like WTF!!!!!!! They weren’t even drunk! Annoying tbh. Still a great night for the coasters though, Apollo’s line is moving really fast.
