And the 5 icons??? That's awesome. Jack, Lady of the Gardens, Georgie, that thing from Cursed (doubt). I actually don't remember the older icons before Jack. What were they??

I feel as if we have been down this road before, and not with the best results. Although I do still have those trading cards somewhere.

You just reminded me about Scarlet. I forgot her as an icon

And what are you referring to with being down the road before? Was there something similar to this a while ago?

It's official, the website is updated.

https://buschgardens.com/williamsburg/events/howl-o-scream/haunted-houses/the-vault-xx/

Featuring:

• Executioner from Dark Tower

• Mummy from Curse of Pompeii

• Pirate Captain Ghost from Sea Dog Cemetery

• Little Dead Riding Hood from Deadtime Stories

• Werewolf from Hunted

It is in Drachen Fire queue it appears.

The new scare zone is in Italy, called Garden of the Souls, themed to some ghostly gardeny goulishy things.

If they pull this house off I will be psyched. This almost makes me wish it was the only new house this year so they could focus 100% of effort towards it and make it amazing

The video states "one year only" for the house. Interesting. Hopefully they'll go all in on it, but somehow I'm afraid that just means they'll half-ass cobble it together since it's not sticking around.
One year only scares me too. With enough effort and investment, it could be a great celebration of 20 years of a park staple. Without that, it could be a pointless house with no storyline that resembles a spooky yard sale of 20 year old dusty props.

Love the fact they are are bringing back some notable characters such as Jack. Of course I’m #excitedforhallowscream

The reason doesn't change the fact. I will however remain optimistic until the park proves me right or wrong.

I feel like they aren't going to try to implement a story here, since the story is just you enter the vault of former Howl-O-Scream characters, and I am okay with that. I am perfectly fine with a house that is simply just nostalgia in the form of characters we all remember, and there isn't some overarching story. There are enough houses to provide the story feel, I am fine with them just dressing up actors as the classics and theming the house either around each character's respective house or just a "vault" where they all come out to play. It will serve its purpose well enough, and I am just glad they actually did something like this, regardless on if they half ass it

It seems to me that Oktoberfest is considered to be “Haunted House Central “ because most of the mazes are located around there, 5 mazes total.

Can anyone list all of the past house locations?

On another note, I feel like we could possibly get The Dark side of the gardens back. Sea world San Antonio used it last year AND got a house about it, (called dark side of the gardens) so we may be seeing it in Tampa and/or Williamsburg.

Whaler kinda called this way back when, since the new scare zone is essentially the Dark Side of the Gardens with a different name

Most of my theme-park enthusiasm goes towards Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion (I’ve attended the event since 2010 with 2014 being the only year I’ve missed in that span) and their upcoming WinterFest, but I have to say Howl-O-Scream is doing a great job with their hype train this season so far. Last year was my first year attending Busch for their Halloween event and in my opinion the attractions were either a hit or miss. I’m hoping that I’ll find my way to the park this year to see the changes; I want to try to make the trip an annual thing. All of the new attractions, especially The Vault XX, seem like intriguing ideas and I’m excited to see what they’ll do. These changes make me hype for what KD could do in two years for their 20th.
