It does appear from the video that Vault XX doesn’t feature a ton from some older houses. I slowed down the video and made a short super nerdy list of all the houses featured in the video.
  • Clowns- Distorted Dimensions, Last Laugh Industries, and Fear Fair
  • Catacombs - Jail Cell and sewer walls
  • Unearthed -Portrait of Scarlett
  • Icons - Jack (Pumpkins) Lady of the Gardens (Roses)
  • Hunted - Camo net tunnel may be a referencing to the beloved werewolf house
  • Cursed - Wagon, shoes, and potion bottles
  • Bitten - The chair he’s sitting in with the red drapes behind him could potentially be from the manor.
Also, there was one prop in particular the wall of faces that I had no recollection of, does anyone know where this is from?

I don't think that video showed the entire house, if you are referencing the preview video.
 
If The Vault is based on the actual Howl-O-Scream prop warehouse, technically it makes sense that the more recent haunt attractions are stored in the warehouse while the older ones have been thrown out, I suppose.

It is almost insulting to the event to have the opening day of the big 20th anniversary to be shows and indoor only. I understand they need business but

how is this any different than say a rainy day when outdoor stuff is closed anyways? nothing insulting or a shame about that

probably more like 4 new houses, frostbite is completely redone, not new but might as well be considering the changes

the vault is supposed to be a mix of old attractions and icons, there are obviously too many to fit into one house, so some rooms will convey multiple attractions (like the clown room), and they will try to squeeze what else they can in there.

It just seems to me since they cancelled the rest of the weekend because of a hurricane, they are forcing that one Sunday to be open for business, knowing the event won't be good. It's not like for rainy days they alerrt ahead of time, they scale things back for rainy days. They are making the decision to make the opening day of the 20th anniversary festivities to be scaled way down, in the midst of a hurricane.

It just seems like they could've waited a week instead of forcing a Sunday afternoon for a half ass job.

there really was no hurricane in VA, and no they don't really alert anything for rainy days you get there and find out oh its closed, but if you like alerts, they did just alert on facebook a day prior outdoor attractions are closed.

its the same scaled back version you would get for a rainy day, that you got now.

note its not just sunday afternoon, the whole park is open 10to10
 
I'm saying for rainy days they don't predetermine closure of attractions. They hope they can open everything and open with the intent to run everything. I'm saying since they are opening with the intent to only run some things on opening day of the 20th anniversary, it seems kinda like a piss in the face to the meaning of this event.

I can understand (but not accept) their "premature" opening....$$$

But, I can also see why the outdoor areas aren't ready. Up until mid day the 13th they were calling for heavy winds and rain. Far too dangerous to expect crews to be out in weather possibly dodging tree limbs and other debris to put finishing touches on mazes, etc. And that's if all personnel were available. With that forecast I'd almost expect they had done some take down for preservation.

So, yes, they could have waited a week for the full event. Not defending them, but they also didn't have to make that announcement and let people discover no outdoor stuff was open after they arrived. Either way, there's ticked off people.
 
If anyone is in the park this morning/early afternoon I'd be interested to know if they had to take a lot of the general decorations down in preparation for the hurricane.
 
Things are rough. Tons of decorations we've come to expect from previous years are missing and some of the new areas look nearly untouched. Really, really worried about tonight. Truthfully, based on what I'm seeing, they really shouldn't be open today.

There is a sight outside of Frostbute saying this attraction is temporarily closed. I don’t know if that’s referring to Darkastle or Frostbite. anyone heard anything
 
Demented Dimensions didn't click with me. Well staffed and the actors were into it, but I'm not sure what the theme of the maze was. It felt like 13 with less cohesion. I might like it more a second time.
