Typically, anything outdoors has a low threshold due to people getting startled and risk slipping.
That's pretty hard to predict. There have been days where the park has been empty and they closed when they don't think people are going to come due to the weather. If there are enough people there the houses will remain open.

Just wanted to let y'all know that tomorrow (Friday) is William & Mary day at Busch Gardens- students get a ticket for $25. It might be more crowded than a normal Friday because of that.
I know BG isn't KD but at KD if it was just a light drizzle then the outdoor scare zones and mazes (Miners) would stay open. If a downpour happens then outdoor zones and mazes would shut down for the night but the mazes that are indoors stayed open.
We went last year to Haunt on opening night and it was a light drizzle/rain and everything stayed open.

One benefit of going on rainy days is that the houses are usually extra-staffed, since the actors from the paths and outdoor mazes are relocated into other mazes. It doesn't quite make up for the lack of path scares in my opinion, but it gives the houses an extra dose of fun.
Is this true and confirmed that scare actors are put into other mazes when there's is closed?Joe said:
Well I've seen actors in mazes with themed costumes that clearly belonged in a terror-tory. Plus, and this is anecdotal of course, I always feel like the houses are significantly better staffed when it's raining. That said, I have no idea if the actors are actually supposed to go into the mazes or not.

This only happens if the themes mesh together, at least fairly well, based on observance as a guest in the park. IE - Ports of Skull > Cutthroat Cove. I've seen it happen when it was questionable, but this is rare and I would not expect it.
The park is dead and has been all day. Seen just a handful of W&M students. Right now everything closed due to thunder (no rain) but radar looks like it will be out of here soon
If you could get some of sideshow square to see if they added from last week, that would be great.

It's not entirely the same. They've added about three more billboards on the sides of the pathways, but that's about it. The actors are starting to travel more now, so that's good progress
I thought I had posted earlier but I guess not ! I'm going to be posting my thoughts on the even sometime soon but for now I will say two things :1. Much better than last year for me perosnally and 2. The bridge at Pompeii had its sound stuff back just wanted to let you know !
In the QQ line for Circo Sinistro tonight, we overhead a frustrating conversation between a woman and the grouper.
She said her son in the red shirt did not want to be scared in the house. He said he couldn't guarantee anything, but that he doubted that the actors would target him. She then asked if the child could cross his arms in an X across his chest to indicate that he didn't want to be scared. He responded that signal is used only if you want to be pulled out of the house.
There are so many things wrong with that conversation.
As a fun side note, she had a RAP, and was trying to bring 9 adults and 2 small children in with her. She explained that the children dont count against the pass.
