The half-height balloons could be really interesting if something was happening above waist level in that room (and I got the impression on my walk-through that something was supposed to happen). I guess we'll see this upcoming weekend if anything has changed.

When I was there Sunday they were shooting compressed air while walking through them.

While I agree demon street should be changed or replaced, I don't believe involving a discussion about religion into Halloween or a Halloween event is a good idea or proper.

This all might require a separate thread. Some quick Google searches shows that Regent holds events at BGW and offers discounts to students. Maybe that's why they didn't mention BGW by name.

I saw several people in costumes in Lumberhack on Saturday. I can't say that many of them were attempting to scare anyone, however. Mostly they just stood there and watched us wander by.

Unsurprisingly, the entire event felt understaffed.

Since Pat Roberson is the Mr. Burns of Hampton Roads, I suggest BGW take their advice and get rid of Demon Street.

That Willie Nelson lyric drop holy shit

I had air as well, and also noticed that the air was blowing on fake rat tails that made them shake.... but if they were supposed to brush against our arms or something, that failed miserably...

Forecast is not looking good for tomorrow :( I don't think I've ever done HOS in the rain. I'm guessing if it's just drizzly they probably won't shut outside houses down? How bad will it need to be raining to close terrortories and outside houses? I'm thinking the scare actors can't get wet because of their makeup. Will they still run the inside houses if it's raining hard?

I was wondering the same thing...this is our first HOS and i'll be bummed if the rain ruins it.

I don't mind the rain at all, so I'm going rain or shine. Just don't want to get my hopes up. So, I can just assume they will close houses and when/ if they don't I will be pleasantly surprised :)
