Anyway, I hope it won't suffer the same story-telling/perspective placement problems that 13 suffered from. Aside from putting people through cheap adaptations of each fear, they can only go so far to place you in the environment in a way that doesn't look cheap.

Also, I'm 99% positive that this will be another trade-show floor for Oak Island Creative. Even if it is successful, Oak Island won't care about anything aside from peddling their merchandise. See everything in 13, and their insistence that the park uses products that don't fit their respective themes (claustrophobia effect in Cornered).

So, the Ghost of Scott will continue to haunt our Haunt? (Well really Scott in the flesh, since he works there now.)

This news kinda ruined my day.

Also, after Lumberhack and Cornered, I am really disappointed, if this is true. Last year HOS seemed to be more innovative.

To elaborate on my earlier post, the reason I disliked 13: Your Number's Up was the lack of continuity between rooms because each was based on a different fear. Worse yet, the "fears" were more novel than they were scary, which added to the weakness of the house. I'm a little disappointed that Circo Sinistro is borrowing the concept from one of the event's weakest mazes.

Plus, I already "condemned" Oak Island over a year ago, and that didn't even have anything to do with Scott at the time.

I thought Scott was happy up in Michigan selling xmas crap year round with his partner? Why does he have to disturb our peace.

Sure, it was innovative considering they bought in an outside party(Robin Cowie) Blair Witch producer to theme up both parks and design a new house.

It looks like our event may have an icon as well (same one as Tampa). I'm calling it, it's either the Trickster, or whatever was left of his character that they didn't officially released to the public. I mean even the hair shape is the same. The only difference is that it's white.

The Trickster was the event Icon for Tampa in 2012 and he was presented as a chaos and mischief type character. In fact here is what he looks like...

But I don't believe that it is him, in fact based the evidence it looks like both Williamsburg and Tampa will be sharing icons again this year. With that Icon being a puppet maker of some unknown origin

As many may know in early August during the week BGW usually reveals a large chunk of info regarding the event and today just so happened to be the day for 2016. Today we learned about the icon or icons for the 2016 Evil Encore theme. So the story is a doll carver by the name of Mr. Karver who had a collection of dolls. These dolls performed and then one day the authorites came to close him down. In doing so Mr. Karver locked himself in his workshop with his dolls and burned the building down.

If you don't want to read my kind of weak summarization here's the offical story.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg said:
Mr. Karver always strived, to make his dolls look so alive. The dolls performed, the crowds cheered, until all those people… disappeared. It’s the Evil Encore at Busch Gardens® Howl-O-Scream® with all-new terrors you’ll be dying to see.

He put his heart and soul into his dolls. After the authorities came to close him down, Karver locked himself in his workshop and burned it to the ground. Now, the dolls are back and they insist the show must go on.

Seeing that this is going to be a new house I'm hoping that it will be better than 13 was. This is because they will build it to suit what they want vice having to build 13 within the constraints of the EitA building. Also if it's staffed better that alone will help it. Let's hope they learned from their mistakes and don't repeat them here.

I didn't think much about that, but the simple fact that it won't be in the EitA building should give this a massive edge, even if they just tried to copy 13 verbatim. EitA is probably their worst venue, and I think they need to invest in a new space in the future. Unearthed is one of my favorite concepts, but it suffers from the venue.
