Hey guys! I've been off the site for a while but I thought I'd check back in and see what was going down for Howl-O-Scream. Liking what I hear about the new haunted maze, but the fact that the pirate theme still remains in San Marco doesn't make much sense to me. Ah well. I'm free this Friday and was thinking about going but I've never been on opening day before. I assume it's entirely crowded but I could be wrong. Any firsthand experience?
Ommgggg the gargoyles!!!! I had completely forgotten about those things from Enchanted Lab!!! Didn't they turn their heads back and forth and light up too? Aw, I'm glad they're back.

The gargoyles were at Blood Banquet the last couple of years. I don't think they've functioned other than the eyes lighting up.
4 days and counting! Since I wasn't able to do any mazes last year, I'll obviously be doing Circo Sinistro first. But for the others, what should I make sure I go through no matter what? I'm hoping to squeeze them all in, but it really depends on crowds.
Based on last year, be sure to try Lumberhack and Cornered. That said, who knows what the mazes will be like this year.

When I was there for Beirfest on the 17th I had notcied the "leaves changed" in Ireland; I like the small changes like that. It adds to the overall feel and helps pull evertything else in.
I'm making the trek home from school this Friday to go to opening weekend. It's a good way to celebrate my birthday 
I have gone to the past two opening weekends and it was not busy for me at all. I believe that it gets more crowded the closer to Halloween it is. I normally go as much as I can early on due to "shorter" lines. I can't say how it will be for this year though.Red said:
