I hate to bring this up but with the Ebola virus outbreak, I fear that a park guest will get offended by Wendigo Woods and want it to be changed.  I can seriously see this happening after yesterday's news.

Ebola hasn't become an issue in America (yet). We don't care until the media hypes us up and tells us it's going to ruin your marriage, corrupt your children, and kill us all.

More changes are coming...the Terror-tories are all going to be renamed due to several additional complaints:

Vampire Point:  Iron-Deficiency Sufferer's Point
Wendigo Woods:  Misunderstood Creatures with Alternative Food Lifestyles Woods
Demon Street:  Non-Angelic Street
Ports of Skull:  Ports of Gray Matter Protector
Ripper Row:  Lower Socio-Economical Population Controller Row

From the BGW blog.
The old adage rings true: where there’s smoke…there’s fire. For our final Terror-story Tuesday, we’re taking you to the singed cobblestones of Demon Street.

The sky glows red from the blaze that is devouring the doomed city, a beacon that can be seen from far away. Through a haze of smoke a glimpse of pointed horns, a skeletal hand, the scaled hide of a monster, or the looming specter of a shrouded figure can just barely be seen. Paris, the city of light, has become the city of flames.

Underneath the surface lies a labyrinth of skeletal remains. The unseeing eyes of statues solemnly gaze upon those who venture near the tomb’s entrance. Were there stone mouths able to speak, they would utter a grave warning: the city’s dead have arisen and walk once more amongst the living. Successfully navigate the maze-like twists and turns of the crypt to escape the ghostly clutches of those who long ago met their own frightening fate.

The pounding pulse of music lures lost souls deeper into the city, lures them to their demise. Flames burn in the pits of dark eyes that once watched and the gaping maw of a monstrous skull grins as the victims draw near. Presiding over this grim tableau is a fearsome demon weaving a dark spell into the music. Entranced by the rhythm and the haunting glow of a city ablaze, these revelers are unaware of the dangers surrounding them. The thudding beat drowns out even the sound of the crackle of the fire spreading rapidly across the area. The growling roar of chainsaws heralds the arrival of hordes of fiery fiends prowl the area picking off victims and subjecting them to nightmarish fates.

The flames rise higher and higher, soon the whole city – and anyone in it- will be consumed as Paris burns to the ground.

We hope you enjoyed learning the grim backstories behind the parks five Terror-torries, but the frightful fun isn’t quite over yet. Stay tuned for more behind-the-screams posts from Howl-O-Scream, which is open every Fri. Sat. and Sun. through Oct. 26.
I'm impressed they managed to tie in Catacombs. Good job with the stories BGW!

I feel like this happens often.

That's offensive to French people, but they'll probably surrender faster than the park did to the gazette.

HEY! Thats not... yeah thats true...
Well, with how many outsourcing of american jobs and companies, I wonder if Busch is now secretly controlled by the French? It would explain the quick to surrender, the wine, the poor taste in decor and costuming and makeup, acting like the poor taste is good taste, etc.

So I'm trying to take advantage of the bring a friend for free promotion today but unfortunately every time I try to add the free ticket to my cart through the pass member website it tells me "Please try again later"... is my best bet to just try to call guest relations (which currently has a 20 minute approximated wait time)?

Quick notes from today.

- Avoid the park on bring a friend Friday. It was pretty packed for a Friday in September.
- Gone are the severed heads. To make up for the loss, Wendigo and Vampire got upgrades. More below
- Actors are much better now. Can't wait to see them all improve come October.
- Got a table seat at Fiends. Makes a huge difference from the regular seats

Wendigo is FANTASTIC! The soldiers were given red LEDs on their helmets, all the actors were great (even though there didn't seem to be many scientists roaming around). Lots more strobes and audio effects to go around! The park added fake razor wire to the entrance gates and hung white Christmas lights on them to make the wire look electrified.

Boarded up windows are finally set up in Rhinefeld. Clock tower still looks awful and the park still didn't put out the shacks yet. Big disappointment there, but still better than nothing.

13 is improved somewhat with better lighting and employees stationed at various confusing points. I also got a scare. I give the park props for that.

Actors in Catacombs and Root actually gave a shit. Got some good scares out of both.

Overall major improvements from last weekend despite lack of severed heads. Here's to hoping there's still more to come.
