RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

If they're renovating England they should just demolish what they need to and leave it looking broken and as if it was bombed like in WWII then scare actors can walk around looking disfigured. Eh, its a thought, this was kinda done in Wicked Woods, but on a large scale it could look pretty awesome.

Making a reference to a devastating and bloody war? That's a big no no for BG, seeing as they are family oriented. Plus, I'm sure that would be offensive to many people.

As someone who had family members in WWII.. People are too thin skinned. Quit looking for reasons to cry

I think it is very clear and proven that Howl-o-Scream scare zones, haunted houses, shows, etc. do not have to follow the time period of the park. For reference see Deadline. Furthermore, if it makes parents complain, do it! Howl-o-Scream isn't for families end of story.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

Does the park itself even lend to a specific time period? I find it hard to believe an 18th century England, sports cars, an archaeological site, a Roman god, a ski lift, and a zoo of mythical beasts all come from a single time period.

If they're renovating England they should just demolish what they need to and leave it looking broken and as if it was bombed like in WWII then scare actors can walk around looking disfigured.

The park already has enough disfigured characters walking around (zombies, ROAE, Deadline), no real need for that much more.

Oh and a pile of rubble during the summer would look especially tacky. Not even Six Flags/Cedar Fair would do something like that.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

The park is supposed to be pre-industrial renaissance, however there are certain aspects that have deterred from that.

The park has never been this. Renaissance is actually a very specific time period that maybe only San Marco follows. Pre-industrial, /maybe/ (though, this isn't true either). The park can get away moving away from this during special events.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

I would venture to say France and England are very renaissance as well, but my point is; the time frame is supposed to be the long time ago, the reason why they aren't pre-industrial is more or less because of more recent attractions (ie. Verbolten) that has ruined that theme. However, special events don't have to follow the theme.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

Well then what would you guys like to see in England, I mean they've already done pirates and faceless people. I'm not quite sure what can do theme wise, but I'm sure that ya'll have brilliant ideas.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

Honestly, I think England doesn't need a theme. The ravens hanging around on the buildings and the cool music do a good enough job amping people up for the event.

The area should just be the park's safe haven for anyone leaving the park and the area to prepare people entering for the night's festivities until before closing time.

About an hour before closing time scare zone/hoarde actors should head down there to give all the guests one final scare before the end of the night.

I think they should remove the ravens and go back to Piratical Purgatory with the pirates and the squeaking/growling rats. They truly got me every time :) To me the ravens are getting pretty boring now. But one thing I think would be an interesting idea is if they did something like Kings Dominion using a heavy foggy walk thru and playing old nursery rhymes and songs with scare actors that was really cool.

The creepiest thing I heard was in 13, when that little girl was talking and playing hide n seek, what room was that?
