I was at the park today for a few hours to watch the last showing of TiO so I took some pics of the HoS decorations that are already up.

I went to the park today fully expecting to write a Howl-O-Scream update tomorrow. I'm sorry, but no where near enough work has been done to justify doing so. Busch Gardens has just ten days to pull together what's supposed to be the most impressively themed event in the park's history. I hope I'm wrong, but that seems very, very unlikely judging by what could be seen today.

Remember Zach, a lot gets done in 10 days. In 10 days half of Christmas Town gets put up.

The other half stays up all year round, but let me give you guys a good time reference here. Holiday Hills wasn't even started on until four days before Christmas Town started.

And Holiday Hills looked horrible. It was presentable enough at night, but by day, it was laughable. If we're getting Holiday Hills-quality theming for Howl-O-Scream this year, the event is doomed.

I promised myself I'd wait but this is just too delicious; Ripper's Row will feature some of the park's finest street actors. How so you may ask? Well these are not scare actors, but actual performers just not the ones from shows. There will be certain guests who will be kidnapped by Jack the Ripper in England, will you be a victim?

I thought Holiday Hills was decent considering they didn't do any major construction modifications.

It's all about the Howl-o-Scream Terror-tory experience of people seemingly randomly getting kidnapped and murdered.

Okay, now that I've had my fun I will explain some more details.

Actors will be disguised as guests, I am talking about really blended in well. Then at seeming random times throughout the evening, Jack the Ripper will 'kidnap' and 'murder' these 'guests' to give actual park guests the true feeling that they too may become victims.

But it will all just be a pre-planned performance really.

Well, with that said, should guests be truly terrified and scared, they will most likely seek a team member or security officer who will explain to them the difference between real and fake.

With that said; hopefully the team members at bag check will stop all weapons from getting in the park.

I got two registered weapons. I keep them on the end of my arms; connected at the wrists.

I wouldn't worry about guests being overly scared over this. I would be concerned about the ones you know may take this serious and try to stop the so-called kidnapping. I have seen it before. Especially with alcohol being so prevalent in the event. Just sayin'...

Yeah, well if you read the Terror-tory description it tells you exactly what is going on.

No one knows what Jack the Ripper looks like, and he will be snatching victims throughout the night. No one know who he will snatch up next. Authorities will be hunting him nabbing anyone who looks suspicious.

Take that seriously, this is street acting at it's best to help immerse you into the theme, this is what a Terror-tory is all about!

But I wouldn't worry too much about guests trying to stop them because in the past, fake guests seem to really stand out once they start performing, they blend in the crowd well until they are actually involved and put on the spot.

Read? Few people read the signs & descriptions. He can be identified because I assume he will be the one who "snatches" somebody. What if I look suspicious? What if I nab somebody at random? It's gonna take a lot of those BGW keystone cops to get me.
