Yeah, the park is a lot better with decor. I forgot to mention that on both paths going to/from Ireland have 1 or 2 chainsaw wielding scarecrows. And all of the clowns (hordes and stationary) have air horns now. There are werewolves in New France. And there are 2 or 3 gilly men in the Wild Reserve, All night. Root of All Evil........is a lot better. They added a porta-potty and the last green house no longer has the lady in the corner. There is now the white covering from the outside (with green splatters) hanging down from the ceiling. There was a lot of stacking in Fear Fair (WIERD!). That's all I noticed new last night. I go every Friday so if there's anything you want to see or hear at Busch Gardens I can get it.

I'm happy they uped Root. Hopefully it will gain popularity so people know how good it is. With that said, let's hope they can somehow make the line move faster :-/

I have been a big fan of hos for about 8 years now and have been lurking this site for about 3 years. From what you guys have been saying I am getting very excited for this year and the years to come. It seems as though this year they are attempting to really do away with all of the younger kids running around crying with their pissed off moms. I hope for some darker themes to come and can't wait to go in 2 weeks.

Do you guys just hate kids around here, or what? :p

I have been to HoS every single year since 2002, with the exception of this year and 2007. Usually, I go more than once. I have NEVER had my evening disrupted or interrupted or inconvenienced by children at HoS. Not one time, ever. I've seen kids there, yes, but they have never affected my experience positively or negatively in any way, shape or form. They're just there. Walking around.

Do you guys just not like the way children look or???

It is only 30% the children and 70% their parents which cause the issues. You will see parents bring kids in strollers there... Just about every year I have seen kids crying and parents yelling like no other. This year should flock out those type of people. I am not looking for a middle school fest like kd but, would like a more mature setting at hos.

so im on my phone so it is really hard to figure out whats going on but is there scarezones now?

Yes and no. There are some scarezones (Festa Bridge, scotland, wild reserve) but they only have two or three people in them. They aren't full scarezones but they are parcial scarezones. In addition to that, they still have the hordes walking around. Hope that cleared it up.

For me, I have had, without fail, someone who appeared between the ages of 10-15 (sometimes male, sometimes female) make a negative impact on my Howl O Scream experience the past 3 years. I can't really remember before that though.

This year I was able to experience "child in maze who didn't want to be there" as well. Extra special. I don't blame the kids in this case though.

Of course, this doesn't ruin my HOS experience, but I definitely wouldn't be opposed to no kids.

15 isn't too young. Maybe 10 is. 15 year olds can sign up for the Army in Great Britain.

I was followed through catacombs yesterday by a girl with a flashlight and a head up at the park. I was at the end of the group and she pretty much lit up everything. Defiantly ruined it.

I was looking at the Deadline webcam tonight. I saw a few kids I thought were too young to be there. Young kids really don't bother that much when I'm there but I do wonder in the back of my mind why they are there.

I think they're planning on making the hordes or scarezones bigger even still. I have a friend that just got hired and doesn't even start until next weekend.

But as far as upgrades go for this weekend. I saw lots of clowns. The hordes seemed to get around the park at a faster pace. I saw the Werewolf horde several times. That was awesome. Never once ran into a person with a chainsaw though, which was slightly depressing. 13 had even more stacking, but I was talking to an employee in there while I was sitting stacked up for 5 minutes, and she said that they were working on changing that maze some more. She said they are letting in less people at a time, and they added a handful more actors. Deadline felt scarce, but maybe I just had a run where everyone left me alone. Bitten was the same. I didn't make it into Catacombs, Fear Fair or Root, but I'm sure I will tomorrow.

OVERALL, we're headed in a much better direction!

I should be at the park around 1:30 or so today (Sunday) and after that camera screw up last weekend, I owe you people an update. Any requests?
