I was just on the BG VA blog and some people from New Jersey came down to view it and the blogger that wrote the story said that there was a surprise at the end of 13. Can some one tell me what it is?

Have yet to go through this.

IF someone replies throw it in spoiler tags so you do not ruin it for others

Lastly, but certainly not least, sliders. Bring back the sliders! Even with the hordes- just throw one or two sliders into each horde. They freak people out.

I had no idea what they were, but I just saw them on YouTube. That would be neat. When did BG have sliders?

I agree with Atlantis, hordes in ALL areas. It can work if done properly. They can be just as effective as scare zones, the park just lacks the logistics to really do anything right at this point.

Could you please take a pic of verbolten's hill with the purple light and fog? I was going to take a pic of it but I forgot :\

Here is the Verbolten hill with lights and fog. When I was on it Sunday, the fog made it all the way up to the bridge. It was a pretty cool effect.

Oh my god that picture is eerily beautiful..... Wish they keep it like that, it's spectacular.

Yeah, sorry for the lack of an update. I took almost 200 pictures on Sunday just to come home and find that they were all ruined by some silly camera setting. I'm going to try to get back sometime this weekend to retake everything, but I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to yet. We'll see.

In addition to sliders, how about some of these guys:

Any one else remember how creepy this was?

I think the problem with the sliders that Busch had was that a) They were in Rhinefeld and b) the ones they had were more annoying that startling. If they had them in Oktoberfest and were as good as the guy in the video Zach posted, I'd be all for it.

I agree the Verbolten pic is awesome-- it would also be nice if they added some fog down near Nessie's loops, especially with her lighting.

I was also thinking further about Root of All Evil-- not talking about the maze itself (because there's plenty of time for that) I think the queue line is one of the biggest factors here. Deadline and Catacombs have excellent exteriors, Bitten and Fear Fair are decent, and 13 is not great, but at least TRIES with the plaques. Walking by the unthemed side of DarKastle while seeing the trucks go by in the parking lot really takes away. It's breaking one of the big rules of theme parks: don't show off the "real world"-- in this case the parking lot. 13 comes very close, but they still keep it hidden. With RoAE you're BOOM right there in the middle of the parking lot with trucks going by.

I saw a tram as well, I was about to ask the driver to get me out of this line :p I was expecting some sort of decor back there. Even if it was just one statue of the lady of the gatdens... Atleast something..

And like you said, they need to hide the line. It's to wide open, I'm pretty sure they have done walls they could put up. But Sadly that's not the main thing wrong with RoAE

They were beyond creepy...wonder how they could work out being able to startle someone though...I guess morbidly costumed enough, however, they'd definitely get some scares...

I figured this was part of the back story: she took over one of the park's own greenhouses, which would naturally be away from typical guest areas...
