Usually opening night is fairly empty. However this year with that new bring a friend for free deal that might change. I'm also hoping it won't be too crowded this Friday. I'm guessing the crowds will be similar to pass member appreciation weekend give or take a few.

No, more than likely Friday will be fine. And I don't really see how we have much of an opinion on the roaming hordes, considering we have not yet experienced it

Last year the web cam traveled throughout hos. It was in a lot if not all of the houses....

You can expect multiple web cams in a few houses. There are plans to have web cams for your friends to watch you go through the mazes from the internet.

On that note, I will be there Friday and I hope to experience as much as possible. I really am stoked and hope this year is amazing!

If the past is any indicator, won't opening day provide very little in the way of insight into how good or bad this year's event will turn out to be? I mean, usually, things are disjointed and unpolished if the first few nights...even the first few weeks...are they not?

I think a general consensus on how well new things are working or aren't working really has to be reserved for probably early October. So, whoever goes this weekend...maybe be gentle with your expectations (and your reviews).

Yea, my GF backed out too, just me and my buddy going now. Awesome that they have the shows going on that early in the day! This will be super helpful for busy saturdays. I'd rather Dig It Up be a night time show.

From experience, the crowds don't seem to roll in until October, so expect above average weekend crowds to show up since this is the first weekend and as always, prepare for the worst.
