RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Since the fan base here is the one that the park should be catering to, they're going to have a show around the sun dial because it scares the people here.

A look on the www.bgwjobs.com site reveals three top jobs in Entertainment! Production Development Supervisor, Show Technology Supervisor, and Research Development Supervisor.

I hope the recent vacancies don't effect HOS preparation/planning...

I like this idea, actually...

They can even make it more exciting by sacrificing members of the site by impaling them on the sundial and putting their heads on stakes along the pathway by Pompeii. It'd be a great way to entertain the public.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Is there actually a new show that will be at the sun dial?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Well, it's only a rumor at this point... but if all goes as my sources are saying, we will be in for quite the spectacle.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I'm just saying the park has got to know it's demographic. While we're at it I present....

PzP's Howl-o-Scream Prediction Extravaganza!

Festhaus: This is just going to be Entwind, but with even more high school mascots. They don't want any human skin exposed after last year. They will also lock the door so nobody can get out. Scare rating=8/10

Bitten: Nothing will be changed in this house....ever. BGW will announce that this house will be a permanent fixture at HoS every year for the rest of the park's operation. The park's justification will be, "This is because vampires are immortal and not because the new show this year has eaten up HoS's budget for the next decade." Scare rating=7/∞

Fear Fair: In an effort to increase the realism, the park will hire carnies from real traveling circuses. However, due to unrelated legal reasons, children under the age of 18 will not be allowed in. Scare rating=100 meters/10

Grin in Scare it: Unfortunately, the minor children ban will also be in effect for all of Festa. Scare rating=100 meters/10

13: This house will be revamped this year. The fears will be changed up this year. Among the new ones are cainotophobia, euroaerophobia, gasparchophobia. Scare rating=13/10

Unleashed: The park's commitment to rescuing sheltered animals come to a high point where the park will unleash dogs trained to playfully snap at the guests. Scare rating=4/10

Catacombs: This year is a new house at this location. This year, explore "Tombs of the Royal Palace". This is a very topical themed house will feature past performers who are dying for an encore. Around each corner you'll run into the apparitions of Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove, and other pop stars who got trapped in the dungeon below the theater and were never able to escape. This will have a unique psychological aspect to it in that guests will be forced to listen to their music. Scare rating=♫So here's a number, so ar-bi-trar-y♫

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

I'm guessing they're holding off for Pass Member Appreciation Weekend when they normally hold their announcement in Das Festhaus... That is, if they plan to do it again this year.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

We have the argument every year about when is Busch going to tell us about HOS? Well every year they do it when they want to and HOS is still a booming success. There is no rush for them to release anything. And it would take the thunder away from Illuminights. Expect the announcement late August.

Not "arguing" at all - just observing that the industry seems to be moving early this year...

I understand the bulk of Florida parks throwing their information out right now. People have to decide which park(s) they want to visit on their vacation farther out than the predominatly Va draw at BGW.

Understandable... but Great Adventure? Normally that park behaves like Fright Fest sneaks up on them every year, catching them by surprise... but they're actually ahead of the game for once! They're the one on the list that really surprised me...
