Believe it or not, I agree. It's a Halloween event. Instead of having small scare zones so as to be easily avoidable, they ought to have small safe zones for people who don't want to be startled.
The point is that it's haunted. That's presumably why you're there.

After the Polar Pathway at CT, I'd be hesitant to put any attractions in that area that would slow down foot traffic.

The park should really man up and stop trying to cater to familes during HoS. None of this stuff with preschool passes and stoller parking for houses. It's sending a very mixed message that just upsets everyone.
That being said, I think the park could easily transform Festa into a larger scare zone without sacrafising a bypass. I also think a wandering zombie thing would be great as well.

I think it's very easy cater to both if they want to. They just have to communicate it correctly.
Yes, this would be the way to communicate it poorly.

How can communicate it better? The play warnings all around the park all day and have signs that state that the park gets scary after 7 and are oftten ignored.

I had said to play warnings, but you said they already do that. I haven't been in two years, and forgot.
In that case, all you can do is shut down the kid friendly stuff at 7, and post more roving security to remind people with small kids that the park is not a good place for them after 7.
Honestly, there's only so much they can do. They're not going to ban kids. They're in the unenviable position of trying to make everyone happy. Parents, teens, single adults.
Making it an upcharge event may help thin out some of the children there, but honestly, I don't recall children ever being in my way or an issue while I was there.

Um, don't we have this family friendly discussion every year? We said that last year was one of the best years in recent history. I don't want overhauls, heck I just want them to maintain last year's event.

I don't think it was the kids that were in the way, it was more or less the parents pushing the kids to do things they clearly did not want to do. Then of course that would lead to the parents complaining that the actors scared their kids too much.

If parents want there kids at bg do bad, they can get there at opening, and leave at 6 when hos starts. Or bg just needs to make it so scary they won't want to bring there kids to hos

That works.
As far as kids at BG, my main issues are the houses themselves. I've been kicked, grabbed, hit, and screamed at in houses, all of which ruin a fun time. I really think there should be something in place to control this. That being said, an Alone house would be just what I want.

It was good the first 2 years, but it just kept getting worse and worse. Finally something new! Can't wait till more info comes out about haunted houses, hopefully they up it from last year, and have more similar to dead line

I really wish they would bring back the Movies of the Macabre. I liked that a lot. It was a great touch to an otherwise bare area. Plus, I'm a huge fan of classic, black-and-white silent horror films, so it was a dream when I saw that was going to be an attraction.

My wife and I really missed that. We would always get a cappuccino or a wine and sit and watch those for about a half hour. Very cool atmosphere. Very relaxing.

as far as monster stomp goes im sure we'll get a similar show with different theming and for the macabre i too prefer something over nothing but i'll admit to never sticking around for that though
