Question: Is Europe in the Air already closed for Thirteen construction? Also, is anything visible in the parking lot beside Das Festhaus while riding Mach Tower?

Yes Europe in the air closed Sunday. Not sure about Mach Tower.

Oh no! That "ride" being closed will make the gp soo mad :p

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

For the new house, not much work has gone into actually building the structure, however they have been building a lot of brown boxes of random sizes back in that area.

Catacombs props are setup in the employee parking lot by the offices, I'm assuming they are waiting until after the last concert to start work there.

Check out the lights throughout the park. It's getting darker ;)

Possibly something to do with the the Vampire show...or Bitten. What else would you use in a vampire theme, sans the vampires. :p

The cables are up over the Highland Stables and Scotland areas for the ghosts.

Scotland should not be getting ghosts this year. They will be in the Wild Reserve. Perhaps these cords will be used for Christmas Town?

Full update on work done:

- Lights have been changed to go as follows: Italy (Orange), Scotland (Blue/Violet), Ireland (Green), Wild Reserve (Blue), France (Red/Orange), New France (Red/Orange), Rhinefeld (Red), Oktoberfest (Red). Those are just the general light colors that are used for HoS.

- Europe in the Aire closed

- Temporary walls are being built next to DarKastle to prepare the back area for the new house.

- The Wunderbarn stage is now a black floor with signs indicating the park is working on Howl-o-Scream setup there.

- The glow stand has been removed leaving and empty spot. Don't expect the wine barrels to return any time soon.

- Catacombs props and maze is sitting in the employee parking lot waiting for the last concert to be done with, and then setup there should being.

- 13, Fear Fair, Bitten, and Deadline should all have been getting work done by now.

- Not much Howl-o-Scream advertisement going on, which is highly unusual as the San Marco bridge is usually the first things they set up for Howl-o-Scream. I expect to see the bridge getting its make over after the last concert.

So that is all I noticed, however I think we will see the transformation in full swing after this last concert is over with. After all this concert is like the indication of the end of summer.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Oh I'm sorry. As much as it may seem, its practically nothing yet. I hope they pick up the pace soon or nothing will be ready in time! But yeah, sorry :(

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Just thinking about the HoS lights and the San Marco bridge and the signage warning about HoS...it put me right there mentally (even though you really only referenced how most of that stuff isn't up). With the exception of 2007, every year since I've been in the Navy, the stars have aligned just right and I've been able to go to the park during HoS at least once. Not this year, unfortunately...but hey...what can you do?

Thanks for the updates...I can see it like a postcard in my mind's eye.

Anyone know what type of flood lights are used in Scotland? They look iridescent

Did you ask this question last year? It is like a mix of blue and purple.

Cable is used for the stars at ChristmasTown. If pumpkins are going into Scotland, don't you think they would use the cable to suspend them?
