I could see them using our park as the test park to see if something works before trying to take it to the scale they have to down in Tampa. We had Imaginique, they got Jungle Fantasy. We had Kinetix, they now have Kinetix. HoS and CT here first, now there. But Tampa's end product is on a much larger scale than here. As well is should be due to the comps surrounding them. HoS and HHN are by themselves down there, but CT is going to have to be amazing to even try to compete with WDW and USO. I'm sure that's why they tested certain things here that might pop up down there in some reincarnation and to also let A&D have a few years to fine tune. I just wish they would flip flop and send some Tampa up here. Which hopefully the arrival of Alone is the start of.

Speaking of. Since we have to think outside the box, I'm thinking parking lot. The employee parking lot or the far part of the overflow parking lot would be great sites for a tent, much like HHN uses for their houses. Alone operated on a reservation only system, so there is really no need for a queue area at all, just a check in area. Which could happen right beyond the fence to the right of Festhaus, left of Germany games, also where the Germany employee break area is. You would be picked up by the employee tram-ALONE-or have to walk the path to the parking lot-ALONE-and taken to Alone. That path in the day is scary, so that would be awesome. There's also not a bad spot behind New France that connects to the parking lot.

And if no show is going in Globe, they need to bring back Haunts of the Olde Country, circa first year run with live actors on the balconies. Not that Lighthouse crap.

Perhaps if it was reservations like the dines, and they could decorate the door next to the men's bathroom by the Festhaus, if they could creat a pathway from there to perhaps a section of the lot next to the Festhaus that was amazingly themed. So you couldn't tell you were in a back area. Some examples or concepts coming soon . . .

Off topic and I apologize, but I think there is someone on the forum who has gone to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando. If this is you, could you please PM me? Trying to put together a last minute possible trip. Thank you in advance!

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

In case anyone missed it on Screamscape this morning, Tampa is getting a male icon the year - the Lady of the Gardens has been kicked out of FL... which makes me wonder if the same is in store for VA.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

Well Tampa is known for changing things up, we usually pick a theme and stick to it, and from what ive heard we are getting the same theme.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

The pass member calendars have Lady of the Gardens for Howl O Scream

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2012 Rumors

They had "The Scare is Everywhere" in the calenders last year but they had the Lady of the Gardens. So it could be different, but i have a feeling it will stay the same, since it seemed to be sucessful. I still wish it was more involved around her. A haunted house would be nice :D

last year they did the lady of the gardens and eye roses etc to cut down on marketing and merchandise costs. Unless it didn't help at all, I still don't understand why Williamsburg would break away from the Tampa theme. especially after buying a coaster and the oktoberfest renovation.

Also, any word on the train? Scott tried to dodge that question last year. And what about the Eagle's Nest area for a house or scare zone?

Not gonna happen. It is a budgest sucker with how much area has to be staffed and decorated. With the state of Entertainment at that... yea. Won't happen.

I can't believe they didn't at least have an adventure photo opportunity set up with her. Seems like a no brainer. Maybe they'll put one in Italy to replace the glow shop?
I believe the reason they didn't do that was because of her makeup. I know it sounds like a lame excuse, but her makeup took hours to put on for the commercial, and whenever either Busch gardens park hires an actor/actress to be an icon for Howl-o-Scream, they usually stick with that one actor. I think the could barely pull it off though if they got CFX Inc. to make a custom silicon mask for her.
