So idk why they got rid of it..

Budget.

And it being a major transportation ride, causing angry guests that actually had to walk between rides. It was also used by people wanting to leave w/o going in a scarezone.

^ I tried to yesterday but it's in a really bad location. You would have to get really lucky to be able to get a picture.

Is there any way that you could like walk down the dirt path that leads back to the area where cursed used to be? or take a picture from the lift hill of AC?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

For the record, I've never gone into any place in that park that I shouldn't have been in. I've been known to stand on benches and planters, shove my phone through some tiny holes, etc. to get the pictures I need, but I have (and will) never set foot in a restricted area. The same goes for taking pictures or POVs on coasters. I can't stop others from doing it, but you'll never see me do it- EVER.

I honestly don't know how you guys are able to slip into restricted areas, I always end up being follow by park security though the entire park.

Haha. I have never been into a restricted area. But, that is because I only get to go to Busch like once a year. Usually during Howl-O-Scream.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

When I said restricted areas, I actually meant more like off the beaten path. I had gotten yelled at by park security for walking up to Festhaus Park's Gate, when it was closed. I should have made that clearer, and for the record I HAVE NEVER tried to get into a restricted area.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

I'm so so excited about the haunted carnival theme, endless possibilities there.
The Tampa page has gotten a new update as well: http://seaworldparks.com/howloscream_com_2011

I'm wondering if there will be any direct correlations between Tampa and us? Since much of the theming is similar...

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

I put a thread in the Tampa section earlier regarding that.

The goal is to keep the big Tampa discussion free of ours.

I really miss the haunted train ride, it always had really long lines. So idk why they got rid of it..

It really killed the mood every time the train came to a railroad crossing full of waving, smiling people - Aquitaine, Loch Ness, Pompeii...

Interesting; the stiffened fabric appears to be lace, leading me to believe the narrow portion could be a lady's waist... a person turned to stone? ...or growing from a stump? ...or simply a statue?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

It is probably something for Catacombs or 13: Your Number is Up. I don't see a rock type thing in The Dead Line, Bitten, or FearFair.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

I doubt it's for Catacombs- I'm assuming we won't see any changes to that house this year.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2011

Haha. Maybe they will beef up the scare zones. The best one last year was either England or New France. The chainsaws had the biggest scare factor going on, but England was so well decorated.
