What if their rabid???? Because does the plague give them rabies or just infect them? Oh and quick idea, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that there are gonna be air compressors in this area to create the "feel of rats on your feet." Can someone say girly high-pitched shrieks?

Oh and as a disclaimer, if any of my last few posts including this one make no sense, blame it on the late hour. My apologies.

My guess is that there will be a room in the maze with those air compressors like you mentioned, with tiny little threads that get whipped around by the air to give that feel, but not in the area, that would be far to difficult.

Yea I would have said maze, but as of right now we have no solid evidence as to the fact that there will indeed be an Aquitanian maze. Although that video snippet of Catacombs released today may be our evidence.

I was thinking about a transformation from Catacombs to a possible new maze. What if they took out the dungeon feel and made it like you're touring a Parisian estate and all of its inhabitants have contracted the plague. Either way this Ratatouille: Rats Gone Wild could be quite the attraction.

The park couldn't of thought of everything we are coming up with. I hope at least a few of these things are taken into consideration. (In-other-words, I hope it's not too late.)

One thing the area does need is candles in windows and sobs of mothers coming from within the houses. The more immersive the better.

I totally agree Swiftman, certain windows in Aquitaine during CT had flickering candles and it just made the entire area just that much better.

I love it how we're planning our own HOS. By this time tomorrow night, I believe we'll have an idea with detailed maze and scarezone layed out for the next country. Maybe Germany. haha

Oh and Dream out Loud: Your words to God's ears.

I have another idea. The inside area of the corner of the building in the picture below could be themed to a medieval bedroom with an uncommonly large number of rats, a few candles, and a manikin laying in the bed dying. The openings could be made false walls with glass windows. Talk about themeing!

Maybe for you it is. :dodgy:

Last week brought forward some scarezone information.

This week brought forward teaser videos for the event.

Next week ... ¿!?

With all that in said, keep in mind. The Wiki does NOT contain any information on the mazes. Even though it's explicitly stated so, some people are interchanging two very different ideas. If you're not careful, you'll disappoint yourself - or at the very least be expecting one thing, and getting another.

PS : Swift, these are some GREAT ideas. You sure do have an active mind. You should pitch these ideas to somebody. ;)

France just has such great potential, it would be a shame to see it wasted. I think Busch may of hit the jackpot with the Black Death idea.

LoveDoc, give me a name and a number and I'll call them right now. :D

Less than 3 Weeks and still no website. I hope Busch never does this again, I like to know exactly what to expect, how many mazes there will be etc. when planning my trip. Not THAT pivotal to me. But if Busch wants to attract any NEW HoSgoers this isn't the way to do it.

Swift those ideas were brilliant! Also, Catacombs could stay the same with an extra Rat theming. Yes, the maze needs to be longer, but remember when Wicked Woods contained the Bubonic Plague, The Great Fire, Jack the Ripper, and Sweeney Todd (if you can even count the Sweeney Todd animatronic)? What if at the begining of the maze, the rats are taking over, and then the dead are taken down into the Catacombs? Also, if you read "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe (great story by the way) something in Catacombs along the line of that would be genius too. (No, this is not just a random story it takes place in the Catacombs of France.)

I could see how the stories would be connected. And since the Bubonic Plague was a Europe-Wide thing, (besides Italy and Ireland) I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it as a central theme one year. Is it just me, or did before howloscream.com just go to the myX website? I knew howl-o-scream.com went to the main page, but the other domain, I thought, just went to myX.

That fits perfectly with my carts of dead bodies idea! Guy next to cart: "Come'on guys, we got another load to take down to the Catacombs." Then they wheel the cart down toward the maze.
