I think there has to be and should be safe zones. Period. Some people are going with friends or with their older children after dark and don't want to be scared. There absolutely should be safe zones.
No!! If they don't want to be scared, then why would they come to Howl-O-Scream at all? I just don't get it when people say that. If they want to come in the fall and not be scared, then they should just leave before 6.

Yeah. I still think there should by all means be safe zones for older people who don't want to be scared. I get what you're saying though, I really do. But yes, there are people there who don't want their day cut short at dark. And there are people there who came with others and can't leave. You simply have to think about other people.

My opinion: England and Sesame should be safe zones (at least until 7pm). This would mean that they should also open the back way into and out of Sesame. Other than these areas, everywhere should be fair game.

Well I think Sesame would always be a safe zone. Unless there having Murderer Elmo and Man-Eating Cookie monster or something. xP

But yes, England should be a safe zone until 6:30pm on Closing at 10 Nights and 7:30 closing at 11 nights.

I don't know because England should be a safe zone to go to Sesame Street's Forest of Fun, but they could do so much with an England scare thing, and an England scare thing could be really cool.

The older people who don't want to be scared simply should not come after dark. Period.
And if they don't want their day to be cut short, then they should make it to BG in the summer time.
The only safe zone should be Sesame, the rest- Scary as ever!
I read on the flyer that they sent me in the mail that this year, the scare zones will not always be marked on the map this year... that was pretty much the only hint they gave.

Just to clear something up: I think that Sesame should be open after five and that England should stop being a "safe zone" 30 min. after Sesame closes (giving families enough time to exit the park).

I don't think BGW will be going away from the family friendly version for the near future. Eventually they will, and it will become a separately ticketed event, like CT is and like the HOS in BGT is. You can't have families feel like they're getting less for a day's ticket price than the teenagers just because they have little kids.

In my opinion, Busch is in a very difficult position. On the one hand, people who visit during October on vacation (are there really that many?) will feel ripped off if they have to leave at 5 pm to keep their kids from being scared to death, but on the other, if they do make it a separately ticketed event there will be a on-rush of alienated pass members mad at BGW because they are having to pay for HoS when they used to get it for free. I imagine that at BGT this isn't as big of an issue because Disney's family friendly Halloween event is a few cities over and their park is open all year long.

Also, one must remember that BGT's HoS is getting scarier by they year because of one thing: Competition from HHN. We don't have that here. When it comes down to it, I don't think BGW can continue standing in the middle of the road. Either they need to choose to be like their sister park or they need to really be family friendly.

Hopefully it will not be an issue, the Scare Zones need to step it up a bit, they were horrible last year.

Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Totally.

I don't think there would be a problem stepping it up as long as there was a way to get to everywhere without HAVING to run into a Scare Zone.

I absolutely love howloscream, but the scarezones last year were not that good at all, strangers beware and mischief something i didnt even see i was very dissapointed by the scarezones the discriptions on the website made them so awesome but the scarezones didn't live up to those discriptions

oh i would also like to add another, i really would like to see a maze or a scare zone that has to deal with zombies, i lurve them, but i dont see how they would theme with the countries so but anyway, when is the freakin website coming out im gettin impatient:mad:

So, sounds like either we will have zombies in Italy or LoveDoc is just really hungry and felt the need to tell everyone about it. I think I'm going with the second one...

By the way, if you don't know, last years attractions can still be found on the HoS site. If anyone wants a reminder of what we had last year, here you are.

Zombies? Your mind works in mysterious ways, Swift, that's for sure. :) I was just expressing my thoughts on lunch today and how hungry I am - that's all. :p

It's not like I was talking about a nice MLT: a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They're so perky, I love that!
