I have arrived! Got in at 11am and went straight to the park. Me and my wife are headed back now. Look for Gold WVU jersey or blue pullover with gold logo. I think I even saw the wig lady and her boyfriend you guys have talked about. She had a big blond wig with red devil horns and was in a black dress. He was in jeans, an admiral sweater with the button straps on the shoulders and wears glasses?

I saw them, too! LOL! I see them every time that I'm there during the fall.
A few people walked up to the lady and said that they liked her outfit.
Oh! And they added the scarecrow to Jack Is Back, along with a mixture of some of the old music! It was great!
I didn't get to do any of the haunted houses, but I'm sure they were much better as well!

Ok, back from our first ever HOS. We didn't make it back to the park until 8:20 and still made it through all the mazes. Here is how I see it.
Scare zones..
England(my fav)...There's just someting about a well dressed, faceless mime.
New France..The chainsaw guys did a good job chasing people. One of them must have gotten lost in the fog. He was running around Italy wielding Ash's favorite close combat weapon.
Ireland...Only saw one guy dressed as a troll? with an axe. He covered the area very well.
Scotland(ish)...Some of the ghillie suit guys were well hid and startled several people around me.
France... Did not see him in the dark, but the crazy rat handler was great during the day.
Germany...Sliders? I just don't get it.
Mazes..
Pompeii(my fav)...I'm a gadget guy and I find that effects do more for me than scare actors. Liked the strobe and cool mist.
Catacombs(wifes favorite)...Liked the statues(especially the pirate captain)
Bitten...This was 2nd on my list of favs. Liked the sand and furring strips near the end.
Hunted...Liked the start. A couple wolves did good, but I think this group has the most work left to do to get their scare down.
Harvest Hollow...Needs a ton more fog to become effective. When I see a bail of hay the only thing that scares me is thinking of the days when I would have to stack 1500 bails in a barn loft at 120 degrees.
I also liked the section where plastic being blowed by fans squeezed you in, but the mazes are bleeding together in my head now. All mazes would benefit from staggering the lines more, but then people have to wait in line too long. The bridge vibration near pompeii was a cool effect also. They should hire a stuntman, dress him up in normal clothes, put up some netting under the bridge, and let him trigger the screams and act like a guest got statrtled and fell over the railing. Would scare the crap out of people the first time they observed it.
The only show I saw today was Frankenrock and let me tell you, Frankcanrock. All of the entertainers did great in that show, but Frank and the wolfman have some serious pipes on them. I actually think Wolfman did the best at his song, he just doesn't have as powerful a voice as Frank.
I will be there tommorow with my BGWfan shirt on so keep an eye out and say hi if you see me

I only got one of the reaper and the lighted HOS sign, then noticed that I had forgotten to charge my iphone:shocked: I worked 12 hrs thursday, went home loaded the car and went to bed at 1am. I then got up at 4am and drove 5+ hrs to get here, stayed in the park until 4, went and checked into my room, went to grocery store, fed kids and made sure grandmothers had everything in hand then rushed back to the park LOL. Needless to say I slept well last night. Maybe that also explains my brilliant idea for an actor to throw himself off a bridge last night:idea: I plan on taking my cameras tonight so hopefully I can get some pics for you. Any requests?
