I really wish I could remember what was played in France before Griffon was built. That was the year they moved to Celine Dion and other French pop.

The list I posted is pre-Griffon - it's fantastic:
Aquitaine

“Broadway To Hollywood,” Ferrante and Teicher

1 I Love Paris
2 C'est Magnifique
6 The Last Time I Saw Paris
7 I Am In Love
8 Allez - Vous - En, Go Away

“Classic Cafehaus Music,” The Salon Orchestra

2 Brise de Mer (Leoncavalla)
3 Leibesfreud (Kreisler)
4 Salut d'amour (Elgar)
6 Student Promenade (Ibanez)
8 Only the One Who Knows the Longing (Translateur)

How did I miss that, I was reading on my phone. Seems I missed most of your post actually; you've got every track except the ones Party Rocker mentioned. I'm buying CD's on Amazon right now...

I swear, didn't they play the Beatles in England in previous years? What happened to that? Those were actually songs that made memories for me in the park.

It's funny you have memories from that, I raged when they did that. So glad they stopped doing that. My memories are from Handel.

Yay for Hastings, we just need to get Ireland and Pompeii now. And I guess for those inclined LoD and FoF... I imagine FoF is just tracks from a sesame steet album though.

RE: Busch Gardens Music

Pompeii

Montagues and Capulets from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev
Circenses (Circuses) from Feste Romane by Respighi
Mars, Bringer of War from The Planets by Holst
The Augurs of Spring from The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky

RE: Busch Gardens Music

Came across this CD in a shop in France. Have there been any other official BGW releases for special events, etc.?

RE: Busch Gardens Music

Nope, this is the first and only Busch Gardens released album. The reason being is, Illuminights and it's music was created specifically for the park so they have all the rights to advertise and sell. Whereas HOS and CT they borrow music that they only have the right to use and not advertise or sell, same goes with the shows and the regular park music. Illuminights is completely original, but I am sure you could tell that :p

Actually, I have a very old record album from like 1979 of "This is Oktoberfest!" It was a recording of one of the shows. I don't know how my Grandma got it a long time ago. The record cover has A TON of pictures of Germany and Oktoberfest at the time. It's a pretty cool album.

While we are on this topic, I recently got an old song from the Enchanted Laboratory. This was the song that they played when they had a volunteer up on stage.
If you want to listen to it go to the composer's website at: www.garyguttmanmusic.com/music-2/
then play The Alchemist.

RE: Busch Gardens Music

I stand corrected. It is the most recent one, as well as the first and only one dedicated to a special event rather than a show. Is that better?

RE: In-Park Music

Why are they playing disco beat tunes in Festa? Why do we have to hear YMCA when going to ride Apollo? Why is the music so loud in some other parts of the park, you have to yell to talk to others? Not appreciating any of these modern intrusions.
